Welcome to The Wedding Notebook! It's been almost two
years now, since I've written the "About Us" page when
we've launched in June 2004. Our company has grown tremendously
since then and our team has tripled in size!
Our site strives to offer brides like you, a magazine of helpful
tips, useful insider information and a good read on all things wedding.
Unlike other sites, we dont want to bombard you with ALL the same,
scrap-off-the-surface information you can get anywhere else that
you kept hearing again and again, but rather, a friendly voice of
advices, helpful insider tips that goes beyond the typical and conventional,
and for those who dare, true experiences from real brides and real
weddings that you may never hear anywhere else because it's too
horrific for print, or too tacky from the word of mouth.
Besides honest advices, we are big on style and design too! Our
invitation services literally started with one invitation card designed
for a friend's wedding, a load of oohs and aahs later, the collection
was born. Now our design, printing and production teams are all
dedicated to your invitation designs with the same passionate spirit
and details.
Let me introduce you to The Wedding Notebook family:
Elaine Winters - Our advertising manager and
testing queen of all the newest and greatest
Sarah McCarthy - Our printing coordinator
and contributor to the magazine
Joy Chuang - Our production coordinator and master
card-maker
Michael Mizuik - Our super shipping coordinator
We are die-hard-romantics, but we will also be the first to admit
that planning a wedding aint a walk in the park. Planning requires
tenacity and immaculate planning! And that's what The Wedding
Notebook's sister site, My Wedding Notes (www.myweddingnotes.com)
is all about!
My Wedding Notes planning program came from the production
and planning of a couple BIG weddings last year. Especially in the
beginning, I realized how difficult it is for a bride to find real
resources about real wedding information. Sure, I found lots of
sites with directories but they are all advertising-driven and I
had no idea who were the reputable vendors, especially under the
pressure of finding the perfect vendors in the given time-frame
and budget, let alone the goal to create the perfect weddings. Now,
our team's goal is to give you exactly that - helpful resources
that can really help you, and not just directories that advertising
had pay us to.
While planning these weddings with clients, their respective friends
and bridesmaids, the idea of My Wedding Notes blossomed.
It's difficult to imagine what kind of problems would arise for
your particular wedding but I can tell you some very common problems
arised in most of the weddings: Miscommunication, overlooked tasks
and lack of organization. No one ever plan their wedding alone,
so why should all these online wedding planning tools be brides
only?
Most bridesmaids and their brides planning together, can not agree
on all issues, or it's difficult for a bride to organize the planning,
whether it is due to oversea distance, or the amount of phone calls
that starts to lose its track and decisions become confusing "Did
we agree on the color on the bridesmaid dresses? Or Did we not?"
Is Allison still not okay with wearing a strapless?" Things
get out of hand after a few months of planning and especially into
the last stretch of 2-3 months before the wedding.
Inspired by solving these problems, our team has designed carefully
and created the best program and tool for a bride to plan her wedding
with everyone involved, our "My Wedding Notes" program
was born. It will be available May 2006, so check it out!
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to drop us a line!
