Fixer photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We were completely charmed by the gorgeous blend of colours in this classy tropical wedding at Roofino SkyDining & Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Thanks to its glasshouse on a rooftop concept, Roofino SkyDining & Bar was perfect for what the couple had in mind. The bride loved the idea of bright tropical hues, and decided on a “Tropical Glam” theme with a colourful yet elegant palette. Thanks for these amazing photos, Fixer Photography!

A Glamorous Paradise of an Outdoor Wedding at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa

Weddings really are about celebrating with the people who have stood with you through your courtship. When this couple began planning their wedding, they first considered a destination wedding on a tropical island. However, they soon dismissed the idea, knowing that not all of their family and friends would be able to make it. Thanks, MunKeat Photography, for sharing such a gorgeous night with us.

Dreamy Peach on White Garden Wedding at Puncak Dani Bungalow, Pahang

Louis Loo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

This is such a fantastic wedding at Puncak Dani Bungalow in Pahang. We love the sense of freshness, and the creative décor in white and peach tones. The bride looked amazing in her beautiful long-sleeved lace gown, and her groom was indeed handsome in a blue suit. In her hand, the bride held a classy bouquet of blush and green blooms that gently added colour to the overall look. Thanks for these gorgeous captures, Louis Loo Photography

Joyce: “Our photographer, Bobby’s brother, had recently returned from Yosemite, and we fell in love with the explosion of colours in various parts of the park. After much research, especially on Pinterest, we discovered these other areas in Arizona. We’d never been to any of these locations even as tourists, so we figured we’d make an adventure out of it as well!

“Planning wise, I would be the one finding photo ops and their locations while Beam would do the plotting of routes. Our entire photoshoot took about five days, including travelling.

“As cliché as it sounds, the most memorable part of the whole trip was the experience itself, and to have my husband with me. We made sure to be present in the moment and appreciate the beauty around us. We were also very fortunate to have found an anchoring friendship in Bobby and his fiancée. This whole experience truly was a dream come true for us.”

Romantic Floral Themed Studio Bridal Portraits

While most of us tend to opt for outdoor bridal portraits, not least for the natural lighting, we are all at the mercy of the weather and its unpredictability. Fortunately for this couple, Joshua Koh of Joshua Koh Photography and Sherly of Tie the Knot were able to bring the outdoors inside, thanks to their liberal use of flowers, minimal props, and beautiful lighting. The results are light and sweet, invoking a sense of spring, which is appropriate given that spring is the season of love, after all. What a fresh take on studio bridal portraits, and we love the bride’s gorgeous asymmetrical hem bridal gown with pockets!

Sherly of Tie the Knot: “We live in a tropical country where the weather is not so conducive to outdoor photoshoots. We have to deal with humidity, heat and unpredictable rain. With that in mind, we decided to gather a small group of industry friends, including Joshua Koh of Inlight Photo, and together with one of his bridal clients, bring this studio styled shoot to life. As the studio had white walls and lots of natural light, we decided to go for a romantic spring feel. It’s not easy bringing the outdoors inside hence we kept it light, airy and sweet for the very cute couple.”

A Romantic and Dreamy Stormy Blue Wedding in Queenstown

Photography by Axioo. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Oh, this wedding is straight out of a reverie – with soft stormy blue accents, pale pink flowers and frosty greens, the colour palette had all the makings of a fantasy dreamland. Set in New Zealand, where the natural terrain is already indisputably beautiful, the newlyweds paid close attention to the little things, bringing all the details together like it was meant to be. Just like their union.

From textured throws to gilded candlesticks for a tinge of drama, the props included antlers that gave the wedding a rustic feel. The bridal portraits were stunning of course, thanks to the tall trees and rolling hills. But our favourite was the unbelievably beautiful bridal bouquet, truly one of the most beautiful we’ve seen yet, and that dreamy blue sash! Beautifully captured by AHA of Axioo, these photos totally took our breath away.

Minimalist Outdoor Engagement Portraits at Sai Kung, Hong Kong

Photo by Sophia Kwan Weddings. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We love these engagement portraits! Shot in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung Peninsula, which is known for its quaint fishing villages, hiking paths, beaches and mountain scenery, each and every frame is refreshingly pure and true to the couple and their affection for each other.

The bride-to-be was gorgeous in a minimalist, spaghetti strap V-neck satin and taffeta gown. She later changed into a second outfit, a halter dress with a sexy open back, while her groom stayed fittingly dapper in his grey suit.

Pastel hued flowers in the bride’s bouquet provided soft touches of colour that helped to bring the neutral shades to life. Finally, the couple went casual, their comfortable outfits radiating an easy-going charm that was relaxed, cosy, and very telling of their personality. Thanks for sharing these splendid photos with us, Sophia Kwan!

1920s Shanghainese and Jazz Themed Wedding at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur

Photo by Louis Loo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We found ourselves poring over this gorgeous wedding album taken at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur again and again for its rich tones and meaningful accents – all thanks to the thoughtful bride. Having grown up in a traditional Chinese family, she was eager to embrace her heritage by making a bold statement at the most significant celebration of her life.

Together with her groom, they decided on a 1920s Shanghainese and jazz theme, creating an opulent balance between traditional and modern. With Wishing Tree’s help, they got a photo wall that provided a traditional touch, while the banquet hall resembled a jazz bar. Thank you for these captivating photos, Louis Loo Photography!

At Home With You Through Every Season

Here’s a great take on enjoying the simplest pleasures of married life together. Being in a long distance relationship, this couple savoured the rare chance to spend quality time together by having a photoshoot that best depicted how they love to hang out. The snow-skin mooncakes and pu erh tea weren’t just for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, but also a remarkable way to honour their Asian heritage.

In this down to earth and authentic album, the couple documented a regular and relaxed day at home. Their celebration of the simple memories they hold dear included preparing food for loved ones and enjoying each other’s company and conversation. A thousand thanks for this marvellous album, Bitesize Visuals!
