Pretty in White: Wedding Portraits in Klang

Photo by TK Teo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

A new chapter as man and wife is approaching, and there is much to be done in preparation for the grand occasion. Clad in white and statement Doc Martens, this couple took the morning off from their busy schedules for a relaxing day out in the fields. Such portrait albums don’t necessarily need to follow a theme or narrative; the images themselves speak of the couple’s affection for each other, their youth and delight now preserved in these photographs for the generations to come. Many thanks to TK Teo for these!

Photo by Wedding Gallery Studio. www.theweddingnotebook.com

It is absolutely worth your time to have your romance with your spouse-to-be captured in a lovely wedding portrait album that you can enjoy for decades to come. We love the radiant smiles of this couple at their intimate engagement session, and their cute little antique setup on the lawn, amidst the lovely colours of Fall, is just beautiful. Our advice? Keep your concept and colour palette simple, have a good time, and let your photographer do the rest. We loved this, Evan Wang of Wedding Gallery Studio, thanks for sharing!

Fun and Flirty Wedding Portraits in Two Completely Different Locations

Photo by Trees On The Moon. www.theweddingnotebook.com

In the hectic months leading up to a wedding, a fun and flirty wedding portrait shoot often becomes an opportunity for the couple to relax and let loose a little. For Cheryl and Chrysler, they knew exactly how they wanted to be styled and where they wanted to go – Bean Brothers in Kota Damansara, a unique venue with an industrial flavour, and University Putra Malaysia (UPM).

“We never tire of shooting in UPM, and also suggested a nearby forest reserve for the second look,” says wedding photographer Trees on The Moon. “We love this set as we meant to capture something that was meaningful and believable – nothing too posed, just fun all the way.”

Shades of Fall: Engagement Session at the Blue Mountains

Photo by Wedding Gallery Studio. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We can’t get enough of nature’s beautiful, rich tones, as found in this couple’s engagement session at the picturesque Dennarque Estate and Yengo Gardens, Australia. We appreciate how they kept their décor minimal, opting for just a few antique lamps so as to complement the natural surroundings of these privately owned estates in the Blue Mountains.

“The gardens were exclusively hired for this couple so that they would feel very relaxed and comfortable walking among an endless sea of flowers and trees, just as though they were on a date,” says Evan Wang of Wedding Gallery Studio.

Simple, Spontaneous And Stunning Beach Engagement Shoot In Mariveles, Bataan

Photo by Ram Marcelo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

While it’s fair to say that engagement shoots are quite subjective – some are eager to do it, others aren’t – this Filipino couple’s sheer joy at their experience (and each other) is clear to see. Even though they were but two subjects on a sandy plane, they managed to infuse so much life into this simplistic shoot at sunny Sisiman Lighthouse in Mariveles, Bataan.

Even better, they managed to keep the cost low too. “While we’ve seen other couples spend a lot on their engagement shoots, we didn’t even have a stylist or any props. When we created our moodboard, we just wanted something light and not too dramatic, as we don’t like the overly ‘rehearsed’ look,” shared the bride.

In doing this, she also hopes to inspire others to not stress over the details of their engagement shoot. “You can get a laidback yet awesome output if you would just let your love speak for you. If I had to redo my shoot, I still wouldn’t prepare for it. It was the spontaneity that made it unique!” Thanks for these brilliant captures, Ram Marcelo Photography.

Urban Landscape Bridal Portraits in Singapore

Hosting their wedding in Singapore proved to be convenient and memorable for this lovely couple from Taiwan, as they found everything they needed – a bustling and picturesque city backdrop for their pre-wedding shoot, and the exquisite Chef’s Table at Capella Hotel Singapore as a wedding venue.

Singapore has, in the last decade or so, gained traction as a fantastic wedding hotspot because it has much to offer and various venues located reasonably close by. While Asian cities in general offer plenty of colour and flavor, we must admit we do love Singapore for its cleanliness and safety all year round. That means one less worry when hosting a destination wedding! Thanks for these great photos, Kelly Fan of Studiokel Photography.

You don’t have to look too hard to find the ideal wedding palette. For something evergreen, elegant and easy on the eyes, blush on cream with touches of nature creates a sense of openness and charm that is sure to please. And really, it’s much easier to enjoy your big day when you have such a beautiful backdrop, don’t you think? Cotton, the bridal couple’s pup, was the true star here, setting a playful tone and warming everybody up for the photoshoot. Many thanks to Helium Hearts by Marlon Capuyan for this awesome album!

Reenacting Memories For Meaningful Engagement Portraits

When it comes to engagement portraits, keeping things simple and clean helps couples to focus on what’s important – their most treasured memories captured in stills that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

“We made it a point to agree on the bigger goal(s) beyond typical and superfluous wants and needs. In hindsight, what has always gotten us back on track in times of conflict or doubt is our desire to honour God and our parents,” said this couple. “We’ve always asked ourselves: does this glorify God and honour our parents? The answer to that question always helps us to decide on the next best step to take.”

To receate the memories that matter to them, the couple planned a day of photoshoots in Jason’s Food Hall, a Starbucks and a local park. The first venue was where Dansen first held Evelyn’s hand as they shopped for risotto ingredients – never mind that his plan to cook for her never materialised!

Starbucks was where they had deep conversations about their relationship, values and spiritual faith, and finally, as their relationship came to a crossroads, he proposed to her at a park – and she said yes! Many thanks to Cheryl Wong of MOCO: Capturing Life Moments for these meaningful shots.

Celebrating Love At Klebang Sand Dunes, Melaka

We’re totally digging this bride-to-be’s gorgeous pre-wedding shots of her in her flight attendant uniform, which also tells of her proudest achievements as she looks forward to an exciting future with her man. Making the album extra special is the fact that the photos were taken in Malacca, where she grew up, while the tennis shoot is a nod to the couple’s shared love for the sport. Great shots, Bitesize Visuals!

Brides who relate, here’s Su Lynn’s wedding planning philosophy: “Don’t get all caught up in planning and stressing out for the big day, although it can be easier said than done.”

Vintage Oriental Wedding Portraits In Kuala Lumpur

Wedding portraits really are a great opportunity to reacquaint yourself with the city that you live in – and have a great time while you’re at it. This bride took her love for 70s buildings and all things vintage to the streets of Kuala Lumpur, and gave her portraits an oriental theme for a classic spin. The results were fresh, quaint and personal, and the couple added some extras too – picnic-themed photos of them with a brilliant red Volkswagen, and at the beach in Port Dickson. Many thanks to Onewaytix for the lovely album!

Romantic Vintage Boho Portraits In Australia

Photo by Wedding Gallery Studio. www.theweddingnotebook.com

As your wedding day approaches, take time off from that hectic wedding planning schedule for an album of bridal portraits that you will treasure forever. We love the intimacy in this couple’s photos, which were shot at the heritage-listed Horsley Homestead in Sydney, Australia, and perfectly coloured by the glorious rays of the setting sun. Dating back to Australia’s convict origins, Horsley Homestead, with its large hipped-roofed bungalow emulating the style of Indian colonial architecture, is infused with charm and character that will surely spark off great conversations. Many thanks to Wedding Gallery Studio for these fantastic shots!

A Stylish Jumpsuit For These Sydney Opera House Portraits

Photographed beneath the iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House was this stylish bride in her wedding jumpsuit. Dressed in white, with a deep V neckline, open back and chiffon cape piece, she smiled, posed and strolled along the promenade – the Sydney Harbour Bridge and bay creating the perfect backdrop.

Ideal for a chic city wedding or brides who want to let loose on the dance floor, bridal jumpsuits can create a silhouette that is just as seductive, dramatic and feminine as a dress. For some, stripping away the tulle and tiara also allows them to explore a more honest mode of self-expression.

Thank you, Tealily Photography, for sharing these compelling and timeless stills of Sarah and Glenn. These evocative images were only possible because of your knack for visual storytelling.
