Goldie the Furbaby Sweetens Engagement Portraits in Port Klang

The joy and sweetness of this couple’s relationship is palpable. Both dog lovers, they even included their furbaby, “Jamie the Goldie”, in their engagement portraits. The bride-to-be is gorgeous in a blue chiffon cap-sleeved evening gown, while the future groom is dapper in jeans and a blue-grey blazer. Hand in hand, they strolled through the backyard of a factory, which injected their shoot with a raw and edgy vibe. Later, in more residential surroundings, they included shots with Jamie, who looked so endearing with that green scarf around her neck! Thank you, Bitesize Visuals for these lovely memories.

No matter how many times you see photographs of Lijiang in Yunnan, China, nothing compares to actually experiencing in person the magnitude of the mountains, lakes and Mother Nature’s expansive gifts. Equal parts dramatic and glamorous, every snapshot is worthy of a movie poster, especially with the beautiful bride and dapper groom taking centre stage. What a sight to behold – the stunning backdrop, the sweethearts in love, and even the exotic animals that put in a cameo. Captured by Fixer Photography, these photos are completely breathtaking!

Romantic Floral Themed Studio Bridal Portraits

While most of us tend to opt for outdoor bridal portraits, not least for the natural lighting, we are all at the mercy of the weather and its unpredictability. Fortunately for this couple, Joshua Koh of Joshua Koh Photography and Sherly of Tie the Knot were able to bring the outdoors inside, thanks to their liberal use of flowers, minimal props, and beautiful lighting. The results are light and sweet, invoking a sense of spring, which is appropriate given that spring is the season of love, after all. What a fresh take on studio bridal portraits, and we love the bride’s gorgeous asymmetrical hem bridal gown with pockets!

Sherly of Tie the Knot: “We live in a tropical country where the weather is not so conducive to outdoor photoshoots. We have to deal with humidity, heat and unpredictable rain. With that in mind, we decided to gather a small group of industry friends, including Joshua Koh of Inlight Photo, and together with one of his bridal clients, bring this studio styled shoot to life. As the studio had white walls and lots of natural light, we decided to go for a romantic spring feel. It’s not easy bringing the outdoors inside hence we kept it light, airy and sweet for the very cute couple.”

Minimalist Outdoor Engagement Portraits at Sai Kung, Hong Kong

Photo by Sophia Kwan Weddings. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We love these engagement portraits! Shot in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung Peninsula, which is known for its quaint fishing villages, hiking paths, beaches and mountain scenery, each and every frame is refreshingly pure and true to the couple and their affection for each other.

The bride-to-be was gorgeous in a minimalist, spaghetti strap V-neck satin and taffeta gown. She later changed into a second outfit, a halter dress with a sexy open back, while her groom stayed fittingly dapper in his grey suit.

Pastel hued flowers in the bride’s bouquet provided soft touches of colour that helped to bring the neutral shades to life. Finally, the couple went casual, their comfortable outfits radiating an easy-going charm that was relaxed, cosy, and very telling of their personality. Thanks for sharing these splendid photos with us, Sophia Kwan!

At Home With You Through Every Season

Here’s a great take on enjoying the simplest pleasures of married life together. Being in a long distance relationship, this couple savoured the rare chance to spend quality time together by having a photoshoot that best depicted how they love to hang out. The snow-skin mooncakes and pu erh tea weren’t just for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, but also a remarkable way to honour their Asian heritage.

In this down to earth and authentic album, the couple documented a regular and relaxed day at home. Their celebration of the simple memories they hold dear included preparing food for loved ones and enjoying each other’s company and conversation. A thousand thanks for this marvellous album, Bitesize Visuals!

Casual Yet Stylistic Engagement Shoot in Kuala Lumpur

When it comes to your pre-wedding portraits, it really can be any style you want them to be, even if it is simply strolling the streets with your beloved. At ease with being in front of the camera, this lovely couple wanted a stylistic set of captures to mark their upcoming wedding, with the city of Kuala Lumpur as their backdrop.

“They love shopping and being in the city, so our team got their angles with views of the streets, and in the most realistic way possible,” said Sam Leong of Fixer Photography. “We love how the simple concept worked so well.” Great job on these inspiring photos, Sam!

Indie Portraits With A Playful Twist at The Great Madras Hotel Singapore

Photo by Bloc Memoire Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Hands down the best indie game face we’ve seen in a pre-wedding album, this was a breath of fresh air indeed, and we’ll tell you why. Shot at the unconventional The Great Madras Hotel Singapore, the photos certainly reflected the couple’s desire to create something indie and playful, in a flavour that was truly their own. They were not afraid to challenge the norm, with their funky outfits and zero public displays of affection. Instead, they went for a somewhat “disconnected” feel, aiming for “nothing touchy, yet being emotionally connected”. “That,” said Bloc Memoire Photography, “was honesty to the core.”

Spunky and Preppy Bridal Portraits Taken in Port Klang and Puncak Alam

Photo by Trees on the Moon. www.theweddingnotebook.com

This colourful set of bridal portraits had us smiling at the couple’s delight in each other. They wanted something casual, fun and adventurous – and the bride had made it clear that the groom was not to see her in her gown until their wedding day.

Being open to suggestions, they heeded their photographer’s advice to shoot at Port Klang, around an abandoned factory and what they thought was an abandoned railway! Their experimentation with a “smoke bomb” drew plumes of red and teal, not to mention laugher, and best of all, everything was captured in an album that will give them great memories for the coming seasons of their lives together as man and wife. Thanks for these fun shots, Trees On The Moon!
