Avant-Garde Wedding Portraits On The White Sand Dunes Of Klebang, Malacca

An intrepid photographer with an equally radical couple – the captures from this day certainly made for a statement album that speaks volumes of the couple’s bold personality. Hats off to Fixer Photography for these brilliant photos!

It’s no secret that couples who love to make a statement would do well to team up with like-minded and adventurous photographers who share their artistic vision. In this case, Yi Man and Alex engaged Fixer Photography for their wedding portraits. The shoot was held in Klebang, a well-known seafront of white sand dunes in Melaka, where hours of walking in the hot sun were the biggest consideration.

Said Sam Leong of Fixer Photography: “No one is going to like the amount of walking we did, but luckily, the couple were amazing and willing to explore. They went all out to complete the mission.”

Bridal Portraits Outdoors In The Woodlands

Take your cue from this handsome couple, Asmae and Adil, and let your hair down with a casual pre-wedding shoot in the beautiful outdoors. Thanks to Malaysia’s abundant flora and fauna, outdoor bridal portraits are a popular choice. Besides, natural lighting enhances every detail, from your bridal gown to even your skin and hair.

For Asmae and Adil, this rustic, bohemian inspired setting in the woodlands gave their portraits a raw, dreamy effect that was simply magical. Well done, Munkeat Studio, for capturing the tenderness in these special moments!

From the lush rainforests and mountains to the glorious beaches and azure waters of the South China Sea, Sabah is undeniably beautiful – and these bridal portraits certainly captured that. Portraits Off The Beaten Track In Labuan Bajo

Truth be told, until Gusde Photography shared these gorgeous pictures with us, we did not know that Labuan Bajo in Flores was the launching point for trips to many beautiful islands in the area, including the famous Komodo Island.

As he shared, “Not every couple wants to go to Labuan Bajo for a pre-wedding session, but in Dana and Adhi’s case, they trusted my recommendations as a photographer, and said yes within minutes of me suggesting the location.”

Bridal portraits at Pantai Klebang, Malacca. Peter Herman Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Set against the perfect backdrop of clear blue skies and sandy dunes that resembled a blank canvas, these bridal portraits made excellent use of the wonderful space. With a sweet lace dress and flowers in her hair for her and suspenders for him, the newlyweds went barefoot for a relaxed, bohemian vibe. We love the floral details here, from the décor to the bride’s anklets – what a dreamy touch! Thanks to Peter Herman Photography for these.

Futuristic Themed Bridal Portraits in the Desert

Photo by Peter Herman Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

From the little details such as the groom’s geometric pin on his lapel to the more obvious design choices such as the bride’s gorgeous backless silver wedding gown, these newlyweds kept with their unconventional wedding theme of geometric silver for their bridal portraits.

Set against a backdrop of sand dunes, with a bright pop of lush greens in the form of the bridal bouquet, the couple’s glittery silver and grey outfits, plus their cool shades, ensured a touch of glam. Many thanks to Peter Herman Photography for this set of bridal portraits.

Do check out Natalie and Jayron’s geometric silver wedding story, which was the perfect continuation to this epic photoshoot.

A Forest Fairytale In Bandung

Springworks Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Despite the rain and less than favourable weather conditions, this bride and groom managed to capture the rustic beauty of Bandung in all its natural glory for their bridal portraits. While we often favour the use of sunlight, the lack of natural lighting in these bridal portraits created an air of romance and elusive drama, which fit the bride and groom’s look – matching his printed sweater and complementing her deep red dress and floral headpiece. Many thanks to Springworks for capturing this intimate set of bridal portraits.
