Couple Wears Big Afro Wigs for Their Bridal Portraits Taken at Petaling Street Kuala Lumpur

We laughed out loud when we saw this couple’s bridal portraits album that was shot at Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur. Their matching ’fro wigs are so telling of their big and bold personalities. No apologies here; we just love their courage! Thanks for these great images, white/白.

He’s in a hooded jumpsuit while she’s in a Japanese ‘anime-esque’ miniskirt. They both sport matching Converse shoes, and their poses are uncanny. Posing against graffiti, putting their arms around strangers – there is no end to their quirky humour, and believe us, we can tell when a couple is having a blast during their photoshoot.

We know these two will bring their humour and courage into their marriage, which is so much about having a blast in the day-to-day with that special someone who loves you, gets you, and wants to build a big, bold life with you.

We love the way these beautiful photos – shot at Coney Island, Singapore – represent the couple’s five wonderful years of courtship. Tapping into her penchant for enhancing details, the bride, who is also the founder of a flower business, teamed up with the photographer Knotties Frame to create this memorable album. Goldie the Furbaby Sweetens Engagement Portraits in Port Klang

The joy and sweetness of this couple’s relationship is palpable. Both dog lovers, they even included their furbaby, “Jamie the Goldie”, in their engagement portraits. The bride-to-be is gorgeous in a blue chiffon cap-sleeved evening gown, while the future groom is dapper in jeans and a blue-grey blazer. Hand in hand, they strolled through the backyard of a factory, which injected their shoot with a raw and edgy vibe. Later, in more residential surroundings, they included shots with Jamie, who looked so endearing with that green scarf around her neck! Thank you, Bitesize Visuals for these lovely memories.

No matter how many times you see photographs of Lijiang in Yunnan, China, nothing compares to actually experiencing in person the magnitude of the mountains, lakes and Mother Nature’s expansive gifts. Equal parts dramatic and glamorous, every snapshot is worthy of a movie poster, especially with the beautiful bride and dapper groom taking centre stage. What a sight to behold – the stunning backdrop, the sweethearts in love, and even the exotic animals that put in a cameo. Captured by Fixer Photography, these photos are completely breathtaking!

Romantic Floral Themed Studio Bridal Portraits

While most of us tend to opt for outdoor bridal portraits, not least for the natural lighting, we are all at the mercy of the weather and its unpredictability. Fortunately for this couple, Joshua Koh of Joshua Koh Photography and Sherly of Tie the Knot were able to bring the outdoors inside, thanks to their liberal use of flowers, minimal props, and beautiful lighting. The results are light and sweet, invoking a sense of spring, which is appropriate given that spring is the season of love, after all. What a fresh take on studio bridal portraits, and we love the bride’s gorgeous asymmetrical hem bridal gown with pockets!

Sherly of Tie the Knot: “We live in a tropical country where the weather is not so conducive to outdoor photoshoots. We have to deal with humidity, heat and unpredictable rain. With that in mind, we decided to gather a small group of industry friends, including Joshua Koh of Inlight Photo, and together with one of his bridal clients, bring this studio styled shoot to life. As the studio had white walls and lots of natural light, we decided to go for a romantic spring feel. It’s not easy bringing the outdoors inside hence we kept it light, airy and sweet for the very cute couple.”

Minimalist Outdoor Engagement Portraits at Sai Kung, Hong Kong

Photo by Sophia Kwan Weddings. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We love these engagement portraits! Shot in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung Peninsula, which is known for its quaint fishing villages, hiking paths, beaches and mountain scenery, each and every frame is refreshingly pure and true to the couple and their affection for each other.

The bride-to-be was gorgeous in a minimalist, spaghetti strap V-neck satin and taffeta gown. She later changed into a second outfit, a halter dress with a sexy open back, while her groom stayed fittingly dapper in his grey suit.

Pastel hued flowers in the bride’s bouquet provided soft touches of colour that helped to bring the neutral shades to life. Finally, the couple went casual, their comfortable outfits radiating an easy-going charm that was relaxed, cosy, and very telling of their personality. Thanks for sharing these splendid photos with us, Sophia Kwan!
