Sweet Bohemian Bridal Portraits At Pantai Klebang Sand Dunes In Malacca

Bridal portraits at Pantai Klebang, Malacca. Peter Herman Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Set against the perfect backdrop of clear blue skies and sandy dunes that resembled a blank canvas, these bridal portraits made excellent use of the wonderful space. With a sweet lace dress and flowers in her hair for her and suspenders for him, the newlyweds went barefoot for a relaxed, bohemian vibe. We love the floral details here, from the décor to the bride’s anklets – what a dreamy touch! Thanks to Peter Herman Photography for these.

Futuristic Themed Bridal Portraits in the Desert

Photo by Peter Herman Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

From the little details such as the groom’s geometric pin on his lapel to the more obvious design choices such as the bride’s gorgeous backless silver wedding gown, these newlyweds kept with their unconventional wedding theme of geometric silver for their bridal portraits.

Set against a backdrop of sand dunes, with a bright pop of lush greens in the form of the bridal bouquet, the couple’s glittery silver and grey outfits, plus their cool shades, ensured a touch of glam. Many thanks to Peter Herman Photography for this set of bridal portraits.

Do check out Natalie and Jayron’s geometric silver wedding story, which was the perfect continuation to this epic photoshoot.

A Forest Fairytale In Bandung

Springworks Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Despite the rain and less than favourable weather conditions, this bride and groom managed to capture the rustic beauty of Bandung in all its natural glory for their bridal portraits. While we often favour the use of sunlight, the lack of natural lighting in these bridal portraits created an air of romance and elusive drama, which fit the bride and groom’s look – matching his printed sweater and complementing her deep red dress and floral headpiece. Many thanks to Springworks for capturing this intimate set of bridal portraits.

Heaven On Earth On Komodo Island

A perfect example of untouched beauty – from the majestic azure ocean kissing the sky at the horizon to the steep jade hillsides – Komodo Island is paradise indeed. Located about 544km away from Bali, it is Mother Nature at her most picturesque, especially when viewed through a sprinkling of sunlight and rain. Many thanks to Bonjo Abadi of Terralogical for this jaw-droppingly gorgeous set of bridal portraits. Also, take a look at this amazing video by Leura Film.

Bohemian Bridal Portraits At Tadom Hill Resorts, Banting

Going to a special place where you can spontaneously enjoy each other’s company is truly the best way to draw out the energy and love you have for each other. For these bridal portraits, the bride and groom wanted to go outdoors, as it reflected their personalities and who they were as a couple.

Tadom Hill Resorts, another hidden gem in Malaysia, is a sustainable resort, and the structures are almost all built with bamboo, surrounded by tranquil spring waters and limestone hills. Many thanks to Bitesize Visuals for perfectly framing these sweet and fun bridal portraits of this duo.

Where There Is Love, There Is Life

Photo by Shanghwan Celestial Gallery. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Photo by Shanghwan Celestial Gallery. www.theweddingnotebook.com

A marriage between two people grows with the life they build together, and that includes the intimate moments that no one else gets to witness – from waking up in the morning to starting their day and facing life together.

This bride and groom applied this philosophy to their bridal portraits, in a traditional shoot as well as conceptualising a series of portraits that perfectly captured their emotions and intimate moments together. Many thanks to Shanghwan Celestial Gallery for this intimate peek into the life of this couple.

An Intimate Scene In The Woods

Photo by Lukas Chan Photo Lab. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Imagine a clearing in the middle of a forest. Sunlight filters softly through the trees overhead and there is a sense of perfect peace. You are alone with your beloved, and time stands still as the both of you lock eyes. This set of bridal portraits, taken in a nature centre in Hong Kong, tells the story of two lovers sharing a private escape in a forgotten secret garden.

With a delicate palate of dusky blues, leafy greens and the palest of pinks, touched with subtle golds and wooden elements, the rustic styling perfectly complemented the backdrop. Hand-lettered stationery, a lace parasol and the vintage-styled gown added to the classic feel. Truly, love is the oldest story, told by mankind since the dawn of time.

Many thanks to Lukas Chan Photo Lab for sharing this dreamy set of photos with us.

Sweet And Whimsical DIY Décor Bridal Portraits

Hellojanelee Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Bridal portraits often double as an announcement to let your friends and family know that you’re going to soon tie the knot, as well as an introduction to who you are as a couple. We love how Grace and Kenny had their bridal portraits done at home – no rules and at no cost! With the added chance to repurpose their décor items at their wedding, they went sweet with desserts and paper flowers, and whimsy and random with their fencing gear, all tied together with fresh flowers, wooden decorative elements, and so much joy and laughter. Thanks to hellojanelee for these incredibly sweet bridal portraits.

Cheeky and Colourful Bridal Portraits in Chinatown

Most wouldn’t consider Petaling Street and Chinatown right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur as the ideal location for bridal portraits, but for this bride and groom, it suited their casual, cheeky and fun personality. It was a chance for them to laugh and explore together the colourful, bustling street most well known for its nostalgia. Thanks to White Image for capturing these fun shots.

Home Is Where The Heart Is

If bridal portraits were an indication of what marriage would be like, this couple got it right by showing that it meant building a life together at home. Whimsical and fun-loving, home is where they both felt like they could truly be themselves together. We also love the throwback pictures of the couple as babies, and their respective parents’ own bridal portraits. What a sweet touch! Thanks to Studiokel Photography by Kelly Fan for perfectly capturing the couple’s unique personalities in this set of shots.

Bridal Portraits At The Sand Dunes In Malacca

Daphne Ng Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

An expansive terrain like the desert and sand dunes brings an extra element of mystery and drama to bridal portraits. This location was not devoid of greenery and water as it was at Pantai Klebang in Malacca, which gave the couple a pleasant sea breeze and a whole lot of space to explore. Tying together the whole look was the bride’s gorgeous lace dress, her messy bun held together by a sweet flower crown. Many thanks to Daphne Ng for this set of bridal portraits, and for bringing our attention to this new photoshoot location.
