Winter Passion In Nagano City, Japan

Photography by The Royal Workshop Japan. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Like the changing seasons, a relationship adjusts and transitions in preparation for what is to come. As this couple commits to a lifetime together, their union is symbolised by the snow-capped woodlands that weather the winters of life and delight in the dawn of spring.

For an off–the-beaten-track portrait experience, Daniel of The Royal Workshop Japan led this couple through the icy paths of Nagano City, a popular temple town in the Land of the Rising Sun. We are transfixed by the passion and depth in these photos. Astounding masterpieces, Daniel!

In spite of the biting cold, the couple followed through on the concept to explore uncharted lands together and document the thrills that come with stepping into an environment outside of their comfort zone. What ensued from the frosty experience was a set of wedding portraits that aptly captured the couple’s sense of adventure, and more importantly, that served as a reminder of their story and how blessed they are to journey together.

Stunning Landscapes In New Zealand

Photo by Peter Herman Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

If you’re running short on ideas on how to make your wedding portrait album a remarkable one, let a stunning landscape win half the battle for you. Waen Yien and Vui Jiin’s beautiful love story practically narrates itself as they stood in the New Zealand’s countryside, against arresting backdrops of majestic mountains, grasslands, rivers, a quaint cobblestone church and even the night sky ablaze with stars.

It was a full day’s shoot with four wardrobe and hairdo changes for the couple, but they handled it with ease thanks to the beautiful weather. On a deeper level, we love how the vast expanse of the landscapes around them and the starry night skies suggest the beauty and myriad possibilities that await them as husband and wife. Amazing captures, Peter Herman Photography!

Autumn In Melbourne Bridal Portraits

Much like the changing seasons, a relationship weathers the various shifts and changes that life brings. For this couple, their bridal portraits were not just a celebration of their love, but also a celebration of the start of their new life in Australia. Photographed against the breathtaking backdrop of Melbourne’s autumn colours, they had eyes only for each other, and the vibrant hues of red, orange and brown with pops of green certainly brought warmth to the portraits.

Kenny Ng of Bitesize Visuals: “Len Jin and Melissa were in a long distance relationship before tying the knot last year. They moved to Australia a few months later and these photos also marked the first anniversary of their move to Australia as newlyweds. Migrating to a new country and starting from scratch isn’t all sunshine and rainbows as there are difficult, challenging and lonely days, but this couple’s relationship has only grown stronger since they embarked on this adventure together. Their love story has been truly inspiring and encouraging. It’s living proof that even in new lands, with drastic changes and unavoidable challenges in life, love is always stronger, and together, the journey will always be worthwhile.”

Swimming With Whale Sharks In The Philippines

These shots blew us away! For their bridal portraits, these newlyweds took it one step further with Mother Nature by including her magnificent creatures. Swimming with whale sharks in Oslob, sun-kissed and in love, and with the azure waters in the background – imagine that. Plus there was a touch of old school glam in the form of an old church that was dramatic and mysterious at the same time. Many thanks to Oly of Metrophoto for these amazing photos!

Bridal Portraits In The Great Outdoors Of Canada

Photo by Rene Tate Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Some bridal portraits are just unique, while others are extra meaningful. For Priscilla and Benjamin, Canada holds a special place in their hearts because it’s where they got engaged. The Great White North is like no other place in the world – snow-capped mountains, bluer than blue lakes, and all that wildlife! As you can see, the couple got to ride horses, paddle a canoe, and much more. In these photos by René Tate Photography, everything was simply picture perfect.

They don’t call Paris the City of Love for nothing. Taken in Paris and Budapest, with the hauntingly beautiful European architecture that’s lasted through the centuries as a backdrop, these bridal portraits are classic with a tinge of drama and mystery. Making it all complete was the bride, who was a vision in red in that glamorous wedding gown. Many thanks to Acapella Photography for this beautiful set of bridal portraits!

An Icelandic Adventure

Lavender field in Iceland. Photo by Ben Yew Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Imagine driving 1,332 kilometres in 4 days, experiencing gorgeous and surreal sights with your loved one, and having someone capture all those moments for you.

That’s exactly what Stephanie and Jonathan did when they went to Iceland with Ben Yew, a destination photographer, to experience an adventurous bridal photoshoot. It was filled with not only awe inspiring scenery, but also all nighter drives through the Icelandic countryside, and camping in the car when the weather turned. From here on, Stephanie and Jonathan will always have a tangible memento of their time there.

Here is a selection of our favourite shots from their photoshoot, some of which really took our breath away. It’s not just the dreamlike quality of the shots and stunning vistas, but also the fact that you can tell they are having the time of their lives.

Classic And Intimate Bridal Portraits In Perth

Ben Yew Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Natural light is undeniably the best accessory when it comes to capturing any photograph, hence the #nofilter hashtag. While a relatively quiet Australian city, Perth is beautifully scenic and greatly blessed with the wonders of Mother Nature.

For their bridal portraits, this bride and groom chose Fremantle, a port city near Perth. Keeping it timeless and intimate, the bride’s intricate beaded lace gown was the perfect pairing to the groom’s dapper suit.

Many thanks to Ben Yew Photography for capturing this beautiful set of bridal portraits, and to AirAsia X for flying the newlyweds out to Perth in Australia.

Dreamy And Romantic Bridal Portraits In France

They say Paris is the City of Love, but the whole of France is perfect for lovers really. These lavender fields are truly romantic, like a picture on a postcard, and together with the sunset made for the perfect moment. Weaving through the cobblestone lanes of Paris and exploring the city’s classic architecture, the newlyweds not only captured their love but also what the city had to offer.

Synchronal Photography: “We spent a few days with this sweet couple in France, roaming the quaint rues and avenues of Paris, and had a little adventure down south along the winding roads in Provence. There, we witnessed the most amazing sunset while running in the lavender fields of Valensole, and also explored some lovely medieval villages in the Provençal countryside.”
