Blush And Brass Garden Wedding At Alila Villas Uluwatu Bali

It was as much a reunion as it was a wedding celebration for Ken Eun and Min Chung. We love how this South Korean couple living in New York had a most intimate garden wedding at Alila Villas Uluwatu in Bali, Indonesia. Planning a destination wedding can be a stressful affair, especially with the remote sourcing and organising, but kudos to this awesome bride for pulling it off so beautifully. Many thanks to DiktatPhotography for these mesmerising photos!

Kee Uen was browsing on Pinterest when she fell in love with the blush on green theme. Combining bronze, brass and tan with varying shades of blush, the couple’s wedding was a dignified display of the features she liked, including the monstera leaf and the king protea flower. Trees sparkled with fairy lights, casting a romantic glow over loved ones as they dined beneath a sunset sky.

An Eco-conscious Wedding At Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church, Singapore

Photo by Samuel Goh Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Is it any surprise that this couple’s socially responsible wedding was clever, fun and well received by family and friends? Ashley and Jarrod wanted a wedding that was socially conscious and that had a low environmental impact wherever possible. Instead of using fresh flowers, their florist came up with the brilliant idea of using dried flowers and opening up a herb bar where the flowers/herbs could be wrapped in a bouquet for guests to bring home as wedding favours.

With the help of Ashley’s father, they also created a backdrop of recycled wooden pallets that was used for both the ceremony and the lunch reception in the church. Everyone was on board with the eco-conscious theme, including the vendors like Covenant Jewellery and Bettr Barista, who do good work with underprivileged and marginalised communities. Kudos to Samuel Goh Photography for these fantastic captures!

Botanicals, Blush And Dusty Blue At Nosh, Singapore

Photo by Bloc Memoire Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Guided by their vintage botanical theme of neutral hues, greenery, and a touch of dusty blue and gold, Charis and Joshua put together a DIY wedding at the church where they grew up – Church of the Good Shepherd. It was indeed a labour of love for the couple and their friends, as they created the calligraphy musical backdrop, signs and wedding invitations. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for these precious memories!

Weddings are a celebration of a couple’s union, but they are also in large part about the people who have been a part of that journey. We are always glad to see couples search for unique ways to appreciate their loved ones.

Indoor Garden Wedding At Glasshouse At Seputeh Kuala Lumpur

Photo by Chester Kher Creations. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Couples who want an outdoor wedding but need the comfort of air-conditioning would do well to host it at Glasshouse at Seputeh. From its high ceilings and tall black windowpanes to the brick walls and concrete finishings, the venue has just the right décor for a garden theme, and provides a refreshing change from the conventional ballroom setup.

For Charley and Reugene, they also included items to replicate the night they first met, as well as food stations serving decadent entrées, desserts and a wide assortment of cheeses. Surrounded by family and friends, their wedding was everything they had envisioned, and their priority of people over matter was surely evident. Many thanks to Chester Kher Creations for these fantastic shots!

A Magical Forest Wedding At Pine Forest Camp Bandung

In this woodland realm, adorned with drapes of pearl, champagne and white, complemented by luxurious hues of earth and glass, the sounds of merry toasts and hearty cheers filled the air as Shelvin and Steven took their first dance as husband and wife.

We love the quaint elegance of luxury on a natural, rustic backdrop – the crystal goblets and candleholders, the splashes of bright red wildflowers, and the fairy lights that hovered like diamond dust. What a romantic, magical forest effect, and what an exquisite wedding celebration! Hats off to Iluminen for these remarkable photos.

An Intimate Teal And Yellow Wedding At Gita Bayu

Outdoor weddings are beautiful – but only if the weather permits! Despite the weather dashing these newlyweds’ hope for an outdoor wedding, their ceremony was warm and love-filled, with the teak wood interiors, ample greenery and accents of deep green. From the eucalyptus leaves in the bridal bouquet to the cheery pops of yellow in the décor, the colours all came together beautifully, creating a dreamy yet romantic mood. Teal was a lovely complement too, and the bride looked resplendent in her teal evening gown. Many thanks to Anson Photography for capturing this sweet set of photographs.

An Intimate Autumn Reception At Tamarind Hill Singapore

Photo by Bloc Memoire Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Lydia and Chad-son’s wedding reception is a great example of how the right venue can help couples to cut down on the cost of wedding décor. Tamarind Hill Singapore turned out to be the perfect choice for their romantic autumn theme, with the elegant black and white colonial setting and lush greenery fitting the look to a T.

Another plus point of the venue? It was a great spot for some pretty portraits before the reception started, and it also allowed the newlyweds to have a warm and intimate reception where they got to spend quality time with the people they care about. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for capturing this gorgeous set of photos.

A Dreamy Floral Indoor Garden Wedding At Glasshouse At Seputeh

Resembling a hanging garden or even an enchanted forest, this wedding at the Glasshouse @ Seputeh was the perfect outdoor celebration – indoors. The lush flowers and baby’s breath in sleek clear glassware, as well as the classic colour palette of white, yellow and green added a touch of understated elegance, while fairy lights and the use of rose gold glitter gave the wedding a glamorous yet dreamy feel.

We especially love the bride’s unconventional blue wedding dress with floral appliqués, gorgeously complemented by a wedding bouquet of white orchids. The most breathtaking piece of décor was the hanging tree of white baby’s breath, fairy lights and clear bulb vases – simple yet dramatic. Many thanks to Plan A Production for this incredible set of wedding photos!

A Glittery Rustic Luxe Wedding At Tanarimba Janda Baik

Louis Loo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that a wedding is essentially a giant party – that is, if you set the right tone. These newlyweds went for contrast: glamorous yet rustic, classic yet modern, lavish yet intimate. It was a two-day celebration for their friends and family, and everyone clearly had an amazing time.

The bride looked stunning in her glittery gold gown, which, together with the lush décor, high ceilings and wooden interiors, gave the wedding a rustic luxe feel. Meanwhile, the crystal elements and fairy lights, as well as the hanging vines and ivy, created a cosy, intimate setting. Many thanks to Louis Loo Photography for this wonderfully detailed set of photos!

A Lush Tropical Wedding in Tamarind Springs

Photo by Harvard Wang Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Rain just might be the perfect accompaniment to your wedding, especially if your celebration is set amidst a verdant jungle on a sultry day. For this bridal couple, rain meant a pair of classic black umbrellas to match the tropical backdrop, rustic wooden textures, lush foliage and sunny smiles all round.

Their wardrobe was suitably relaxed: the bride wore a gown with a detachable train while the groom was folksy in a teal vest, beryl pants and rolled-up sleeves. Above them, glass bulbs adorned the timber beams of a pavilion, and in the night, the warm lights burned intensely. Here’s to a wedding that popped with so much colour, and a toast to Harvard Wang for these beautiful photos!

A Blue Rustic Wedding In Sekeping Victoria, Penang

Photo by Louis Loo Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Ranging from baby blue to cobalt, the many shades of blue were the perfect colour palette for this intimate rustic themed wedding. Touches of blue were found in the bride’s bouquet and baby’s breath decorations, which complemented the wooden decorative elements such as tree trunk wood carvings, long wooden dining tables and twine.

The bride looked absolutely resplendent in her gown, flanked by her bridesmaids all in light blue (but each in a dress matching their own style), while the groom was handsome in his deep navy suit and surrounded by his groomsmen all in their own dapper attire. Many thanks to Louis Loo Photography for capturing this sweet set of photographs and Moon Loh of Kakias Wedding Decoration for such a great setup!

A Nature-Inspired Intimate Garden Wedding At Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa

Bloc Memoire Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Every so often, there will come a bride and groom who were able to infuse unconventional elements into their wedding – sneakers for the bride and a geometric print shirt for the groom, anyone?

As it was a celebration of their two lives coming together, their theme was forest (林) and water (汪) – the meaning of their Chinese surnames. From the wildflowers and the bride’s beautiful blue floral bouquet to the wood and twine decorative elements, their décor was perfect against the venue’s expansive windows and ghost chairs for the solemnisation ceremony.

Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for capturing this lovely and intimate set of wedding photographs.
