We at The Wedding Notebook have been savouring the romantic combination of floral and tulle in couture bridal fashion these past few seasons, so much so that we decided to roll up our sleeves and get into some theme planning fun for our recent lunch event at The Westin Kuala Lumpur.
We found great joy in sourcing and mixing fabrics for this themed affair – a dreamy marriage of blush, pink and off white with a touch of gold. There was a mix of ruffles and tulle for the table settings, which flowed in perfect keeping with the hues of the theme, and some stationery as well, courtesy of yours truly. Spring Cottage, thank you for creating such a dreamy look for us, and thanks also to Inlight Photos for faithfully delivering good photos.
In the process, we grew to deeply appreciate the labour of love that designers pour into creating fresh looks every season. Our other source of inspiration came from the marine-inspired elements that have infused couture fashion of late. The littlest details infuse plenty of character – we’re proud to say we embraced this philosophy when we included some gorgeous little fighting fish.
