This bride is awesome. She is certain of what she wants, doesn’t overanalyse things, and doesn’t allow the many options and ideas out there to overwhelm her. We believe these were all the keys that made her a lovely and stress-free bride. Thanks, Ben Yew, for always capturing such dreamy weddings for us to lust after.

Jacqui: “The gardens were in full bloom, and from then we knew we wanted a romantic garden cottage wedding. Most of the décor was in neutral colours, but as fresh flowers were our main focus, there were splashes of soft peaches, pinks, purples and subtle greys throughout.”

Tips from the bride: “Trust your vendors! Trust in the fact that they are the professionals, and take their advice. We picked each supplier for a reason, and I needed to trust that reason. Give your vendors clear directions on the style of your wedding, etc. and let them add their creative flair to it.

“Secondly, have an engagement shoot with your photographer. We were both incredibly nervous, and found it hard to act normally when there was a camera following us around! However, after seeing our photos, we couldn’t be happier. We then understood how our photographer worked, and above all, got to know him as a person. It truly was the best experience to have before our big day. On the wedding day, we were both fully at ease with the cameras, and pretty much forgot they were there after an hour.

“Lastly, have a good look at your budget, and try to squeeze in a videographer. Photos and videos are forever, and I personally can’t wait to sit back and watch our video! If you genuinely can’t afford one, borrow a camera and set it up on a tripod – you won’t regret it.”
