A Warm Hues Beach Wedding at SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort

A wedding is a celebration of two individuals and their love for one another, which makes this season’s intimate weddings all the more special. This bride and groom took full advantage of the gorgeous beach backdrop by keeping their colour palette neutral, sticking with white florals and lush greenery. The bridesmaids wore shades of burnt orange, red and yellow, adding vibrant pops of colour to the celebration, and the bride and groom exchanged their vows before a pretty circle made of wheat stalks and leaves. Thanks to Peter Herman Photography for this gorgeous set of photos! TAYLOR & KRIS {Thailand} Photography by Peter Herman Photography / Videography by LEURA Film…

A Romantic Seaside Wedding in Positano, Italy

The intimacy of this small wedding was made even more precious by the romantic destination – Positano, Italy. The bridal couple and their guests were certainly treated to Mother Nature’s spoils, but what took centre stage was the joy and love that everyone had for each other! We especially liked the small lemon plants that served as table centrepieces, and that lush floral arch. Thank you, MunKeat Photography, for capturing this breath-taking celebration. The Wedding Notebook Magazine October 2021 – Issue 36

After what has been a tumultuous 18 months, we are finally getting a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel. Here’s hoping 2022 will be a better year for all, as countries begin to emerge from the pandemic. As far as we’re concerned, weddings will never be the same again, and that’s why we’ve dedicated this issue to asking wedding photographers about the most meaningful weddings they’ve shot, and their predictions for future weddings (hint: no frills, intimate, and emotional). Bridal portraits, too, have shifted, as most couples opt to have theirs done locally. It’s no longer about magnificent landscapes in exotic destinations; rather, photographers are making…

Moody Yet Sensual Beach Bridal Portraits

You don’t need a glorious destination or stunning landscape to capture the feelings of two people in love. Simply strip away the bright lights and beautiful backdrop, and zoom in on the couple. These bridal portraits from Smittenpixels Photography clearly show the main object of Alexandria and Ian’s love and affection: each other. An Intimate and Whimsical Floral Wedding

There’s nothing like flowers to mark a joyous occasion, and we’re in love with the wheat stalks and bright blooms of this beautiful and whimsical wedding. With the world beginning to open up again, Abby and Julo are one of many couples who opted for a smaller celebration, but that didn’t stop them from going all out to enjoy their big day. A downsized wedding doesn’t mean a lack of detail; if anything, the bride’s gorgeous ankle-length gown, sleek over-sized sunglasses, and bow that was attached to her veil were all the right elements for the perfect Audrey Hepburn look. Many thanks to ProudRad for this gorgeous set of wedding…

This simple beach ceremony, officiated by close friends and with a very intimate guestlist, made for the most gorgeous wedding. Set against the ocean and blue skies, the bride and groom infused their celebration with so much of their free-spirited personalities and joie de vivre. From their wedding outfits and that cool arch to the bonfire-lighting ceremony to mark their exchange of vows, everything about this was unconventional. What a wedding! Thanks to Funkydali for sharing this beautiful set of photos with us. On the unparalleled beauty of Bira, Indonesia: “The skies in Bira were really something. A Boho-Chic Garden Wedding in Bali, Indonesia

There is so much to take in here, starting with that beautiful tree under which the bridal couple exchanged their vows. Every element reflected the couple’s boho-chic theme, from the bridal party’s henna tattoos and headpieces to the flowers and furniture. A small celebration meant everyone was able to spend time with the happy couple, as they embarked on their new chapter as husband and wife. Thanks to Terralogical for capturing this wedding and all its lovely details. Heather: “Brian and I are from Scotland, and we’ve since relocated to Perth, Western Australia. We love the warmth, relaxing in the sun and spending time with our not-so-small puppy Hendricks, a…

A Sparkly Red and White Chindian Wedding at Janda Baik

An interracial wedding is more than a bringing together of two families, it is also a blend of two cultures. It’s always interesting to see how brides and grooms do this, and we love how this couple paid homage to their respective heritage. Set against a sparkly backdrop of white and gold, red was the defining shade here, along with unique touches such as fairy lights, an abundance of flowers and colours, and wooden accents. What a textural delight! Many thanks to Louis Gan Photography for capturing this beautiful set of wedding photos. A Modern Malay Wedding in The Oak Hall, Kuala Lumpur

Most traditional weddings tend to be very big affairs, which is understandable. After all, the marriage of two individuals should be celebrated, and as the saying goes, the more the merrier, right? Not anymore. These days, it’s more about the bridal couple and their closest family and friends. This wedding was classically perfect in so many ways, from the exquisite lace on the bride’s gown and veil to the groom’s navy suit. We also love the bridesmaids’ batik skirts and the groomsmen’s printed shirts. The décor was kept understated and modern, with red and white flowers and a simple bench for the dais, all bathed in gorgeous sunlight. Thanks to…

From the décor to the delectable cheeseboard, they put extra thought into their special day to make their guests feel as if they had “travelled” somewhere.
