Hello, Adventure: Bridal Portraits at Faroe Islands, Denmark

Hellojanelee Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

Talk about a sweet escape into the mountains for the bridal portraits of a lifetime! This couple clearly loves adventure, and their willingness to travel all the way to the Faroe Islands in Denmark for this special shoot speaks to their energy and spirit. Within a week of getting in touch with their chosen photographer, they had booked their flights to Copenhagen and the Faroe Islands.

The photoshoot began with rain, mist, fog and extreme winds, all of which usually sends shivers up a photographer’s spine, but for Jane of hellojanelee, it spelled great news. “So what if it messes up the bride and groom’s hair? I love the gloomy weather,” she shared. “It brings out the couple’s personality and I got to witness their joy at being themselves. I just felt it when we met – that we were in for something awesome.”

Beautiful Morocco Captured on This Bridal Portraits Road Trip

This album gives us a glimpse of Morocco’s diverse and beautiful scenery. Rich in culture and colours, it’s the ideal destination for bridal portraits. For this trip, the couple and their photographer took a ferry from Tarifa, Spain. There, they hired a driver and headed south to the Blue Town, Chefchaoen, for the first part of our shoot. Then they did a stopover in the ancient city of Fes before heading to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. They stayed at a tent camp overnight and did a sunrise camel ride the next day. After that, they headed to the busy city of Marrakech, stopping along the way to take photos at random locations that looked interesting. For the last part of the shoot, they went to the seaside city of Essaouria (a.k.a. Astapor for “Game of Thrones” fans). The photojournalistic shots, complete with Insta-worthy poses, make this set all the more gorgeous. Thanks for sharing this with us, Superpanda Presents!

Bridal Portraits in South Island, New Zealand, in a Campervan

Photo by Nicholas Yuen Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We adore this sweet love story. The bride is an old friend of the photographer’s, and had recently gotten married. She wanted to shoot her bridal portraits in South Island, New Zealand, and the result, this beautiful album, reads like a tapestry of the newlyweds’ love. Thank you for these breathtaking captures, Nicholas Yuen Photography!

The couple had been to New Zealand several times before. For this trip, they wanted to explore to their hearts’ content, which required meticulous planning with their photographer. With a rented campervan as their dressing room and “base”, they were able to travel through the New Zealand countryside and capture the most stunning scenery. Now that’s a photoshoot of a lifetime!

Dream Bridal Portraits Come to Life in Kyoto, Japan

This Covid-19 season has probably got a lot of us binge watching TV serials, although many of us would have begun watching our favourites even before the movement restrictions. For this couple, all their TV viewing served a purpose – their bridal portraits were inspired by their favourite Japanese drama series. Fion and Steven shot their portraits in Kyoto, Japan, in the thick of autumn, and the photos are so lovely! Thank you for these, JIWA Photography.

We love the way the weather and colours of Kyoto spark life, warmth and magical vibes in this precious album. The kimonos, antiquity of the town, and old-fashioned streets make Kyoto like nowhere else in the world. Do yourselves a favour and head to that place you love. After all, it’s just this once in your lifetime.

Brilliant Explorative Bridal Portraits Shot in Bagan and Mandalay, Myanmar

These images are superb, thanks to this artistic photographer who never fails to create the most amazing and timeless stills. Well done as always, Terralogical!

Wanting a change from the usual wedding photography hotspots, this couple opted for Myanmar. They were excited about exploring places they had never set foot in before, destinations that were off the beaten path, and regions that were unique and relatively unknown to tourists.

As these images show, all it takes is a culturally rich location, a thirst for adventure, and a kickass photographer to give your bridal portraits the lasting allure it deserves.

Bridal Portraits with Stunning Views Taken in New Zealand

We’re magically transported to gorgeous Lake Tepako, Mount Cook, Queenstown and Arrowtown in New Zealand, just by browsing through this amazing album of bridal portraits. Thank you for these stunning captures, H+ Studio!

We love New Zealand as a bridal portrait location, from the snow-clad mountains and plains, to the lakes and glistening rivers in both town and country. The wooden structures, Christmas in the streets, and the cobblestone Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Tekapo all breathe a charm that can only be found in the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Bridal portrait getaways such as this one is a great opportunity for soon-to-be spouses to wind down and prepare for a future together. Collectively, these images certainly do justice to a special time that will be cherished forever.

Explorative Bridal Portraits at Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal

It is another busy day in the streets of Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal, and everyone is invited. We’re thrilled at how this fun-loving couple created memories that will last for years to come, simply by having a good time together. Thank you for these brilliant bridal portraits, Yan Dha and Rayson from Sanren Studio!

Here in Kathmandu and Pokhara, these streets have stories of their own to tell. You see it in the eyes of the women holding their infants, in the way the children play freely in the cluttered alleys, and in the openness with which bazaar merchants humour our couple. The husband and wife-to-be jump at the opportunity to don local outfits, blending in with their surroundings and laughing along with the locals. We’re rooting for this couple and their life together in marriage. The best years are yet to come!
