From donning traditional Japanese garb to explore the urban parts of Japan to wearing sweet, romantic outfits for the more rural and nature based aspects of their bridal portraits, we love how these shots captured the bride and groom’s undeniable affection for each other.

Even the majestic Mount Fuji couldn’t dwarf the newlyweds’ love for each other, and it was beautiful to see them explore the quiet Japanese forests, Lake Kawaguchiko, and sakura gardens. Many thanks to Synchronal Photography for these photos!

A Fun, Bright Beachside Wedding In Panglao Island, Philippines

We love how this wedding in the Philippines feels like a laid-back tropical getaway from start to finish! From the fun, bright colour scheme to the settings that oozed charm and relaxed vibes, it’s evident this couple knows how to kick back and enjoy themselves.

The theme was brought out primarily through the bridesmaids, who wore turquoise gowns, and the family, who stood out in striking orange. Meanwhile the parish church, with its old school wooden pews, antique tiles and fresco ceilings, lent an otherworldly setting to the ceremony. To top it off, the rented turquoise VW minivan matched the theme and vibe perfectly.

The reception, held at the Bohol Beach Club, was set out on picnic tables, surrounded by swaying coconut trees and the finest, whitest sand. Orange, pale pink and white flowers decorated the tabletops, while the seating cards and other stationery were in turquoise. The whole setting looked so magical when dusk set in and the candles and string lights came on! Many thanks to Blinkbox Photos and Cuckoo Cloud Concepts for sharing these photos with us.

Inspiring, Incredible And Intoxicating Bridal Portraits In Iceland

Destination bridal portraits in Iceland. Rowell Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

There’s a purity and vastness when it comes to Iceland that is impossible not to romanticise. Parts of the country are so old and yet so preserved that it’s almost like going back in time. Capturing a mixture of old and new, of nature and the urban landscape, part of these bridal portraits were set in Keldur, where they found Iceland’s oldest turf houses, made from grass and natural elements. There was no shortage of amazing – every mountain and vista was breathtaking! Meanwhile, the charming capital city of Rekjavik was devoid of traffic jams and skyscrapers, but full of interesting nooks and crannies ready for discovering. Many thanks to Rowell Photo for capturing this incredible set of photos – Iceland is inspiring, incredible and intoxicating.

Quintessentially Hong Kong

Inspired by the Hong Kong movie ‘Almost a Love Story’, these bridal portraits featured the old world charm of Hong Kong as the perfect backdrop. As the couple is from Singapore, they used their bridal portrait session as an opportunity to inject a sense of wonder and play into their shoot, while also discovering the little nooks and crannies of the city – from the narrow corridors and steps to the junk boat by the harbour. We love the exposed brick walls and art as well; many thanks to Brian Ho of thegaleria for this set!
