Nostalgic Bridal Portraits at Hide and Seek Coffee, Petaling Street

When you just want to let your hair down and have a good time, even for something as important as your bridal portraits, go ahead and do it. We are completely enamoured with this charming couple’s bold and fun personality, which comes through perfectly in their album. Kudos to Jessielyee Photography for this fantastic album.

While discussing the location for the shoot, the couple knew immediately that Chinatown would be ideal, with its vibrant surroundings and old school cafés. They also visited Hide & Seek Café, where they changed into a cheongsam-esque dress and green suit respectively to match the Chinese New Year vibe.

“It was hard to be calm and serious. The couple was just so fun and quirky,” said the photographer. “We wandered the streets like tourists in the early morning before the crowds came.” What natural and effortless bridal portraits that will surely be enjoyed for years to come!

A Classic Champagne and Blush Pink Wedding at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur

Sleek satin in ivory and shimmering hues of champagne and gold were all that were needed to bring texture and colour to this beautiful wedding. The bride and groom looked like they had stepped right out of a fairytale – she in a ballgown with a full skirt, and he in his well-fitted suit. Bringing it all together were gilded accents and an abundance of flowers, which made the couple’s big day feel even more like a dream. We also loved their outfits for the tea ceremony – that dramatic lace dress with a train and the groom’s blue suit with a mandarin collar. What gorgeous photos, Manoj Photography!

Donna: “I chose colours such as ivory, gold and champagne, and also incorporated blush and nude pink accents as I love neutral colours. This combination radiated a romantic, ethereal and inviting aura, which was perfect for our wedding day.”

Tips from the bride: “Getting organised and planning early is key!”

A Happy and Simple Life in Bali

Sometimes all it takes for even the most simplistic bridal portraits to shine with life is a willingness to have a good time. “Mundane” locations such as the Denpasar Fruit Market, Seseh Paddy Field and Black Sand Beach become remarkable – if the couple and their photographer allow. Thank you for these superb shots, Terralogical!

The concept was to capture Alicia and Ryan being their normal selves and enjoying their time in Bali, including at the rice paddies and Black Sand Beach. She also wanted to be photographed at the market, hence the fun shots with the fruit sellers. Many were excited and eager to participate in the couple’s shoot, with even the truck drivers vying to have their trucks featured.

What better way to remind the couple of all that they have? It’s good times like these and the beautiful days shared that will surely leave them feeling grateful for their lives and each other.

Sometimes we get so caught up in counting down to the wedding day that we forget what’s truly important are the days that follow the exchange of vows. To celebrate life after the wedding, we are doing two special posts of couple doing regular, everyday things, because of course marriage is made up of all these ordinary days.

In collaboration with Rev AsiaxEcoWorld, we photographed this couple highlighting their mundane routines of life – such as doing the laundry, grocery shopping or walking in the park – made special by the presence of a cherished spouse. We love these cute portraits captured by Twins Photography!

It is one thing to shoot a set of bridal portraits when you are both newly engaged, and quite another to do it after a year of marriage. Most couples find the first year after moving in together challenging, and that is the real test – only those who truly enjoy each other’s company will survive.

In this collaboration with Rev AsiaxEcoWorld, we found a couple who had been married for a year, and photographed them doing simple, everyday things. We adore this set of portraits that was taken by Joshua Koh Photography. If you think the photos are lovely, their love story will melt your heart.

An Old Hollywood Glam Wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Photo by Chong Yee Photography. www.theweddingnotebook.com

We just love the abundance of flowers in this fantastic wedding at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Imagine the rich scents that must have filled this ballroom, which was so beautifully set up by Wishing Tree and La Art Floral & Events. Thank you for these terrific shots, Chong Yee Photography!

The bride had always envisioned her wedding to be glamorous and elegant – a bit of an Old Hollywood vibe. She certainly achieved that here, with the flowers coming together with the touches of gold, blush, cream and rich burgundy to create an amazing vintage ambience. The Four Seasons’ grand ballroom was perfect for the do, thanks to its double-height ceiling and stunning chandeliers. Simply mesmerising!

A Timeless White on White Ballroom Wedding in Jakarta

It is quite magical seeing families come together, and in this lovely couple’s case, it was incredibly special as they completed their church ceremony, as well as their Javanese and Chinese rituals, within the same day. The best part of once-in-a-lifetime moments like these is having them immortalised as memories and captures that last forever. Thank you for these amazing shots, Iluminen!

Brilliant Explorative Bridal Portraits Shot in Bagan and Mandalay, Myanmar

These images are superb, thanks to this artistic photographer who never fails to create the most amazing and timeless stills. Well done as always, Terralogical!

Wanting a change from the usual wedding photography hotspots, this couple opted for Myanmar. They were excited about exploring places they had never set foot in before, destinations that were off the beaten path, and regions that were unique and relatively unknown to tourists.

As these images show, all it takes is a culturally rich location, a thirst for adventure, and a kickass photographer to give your bridal portraits the lasting allure it deserves.

Bridal Portraits with Stunning Views Taken in New Zealand

We’re magically transported to gorgeous Lake Tepako, Mount Cook, Queenstown and Arrowtown in New Zealand, just by browsing through this amazing album of bridal portraits. Thank you for these stunning captures, H+ Studio!

We love New Zealand as a bridal portrait location, from the snow-clad mountains and plains, to the lakes and glistening rivers in both town and country. The wooden structures, Christmas in the streets, and the cobblestone Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Tekapo all breathe a charm that can only be found in the Land of the Long White Cloud.

Bridal portrait getaways such as this one is a great opportunity for soon-to-be spouses to wind down and prepare for a future together. Collectively, these images certainly do justice to a special time that will be cherished forever.

Explorative Bridal Portraits at Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal

It is another busy day in the streets of Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal, and everyone is invited. We’re thrilled at how this fun-loving couple created memories that will last for years to come, simply by having a good time together. Thank you for these brilliant bridal portraits, Yan Dha and Rayson from Sanren Studio!

Here in Kathmandu and Pokhara, these streets have stories of their own to tell. You see it in the eyes of the women holding their infants, in the way the children play freely in the cluttered alleys, and in the openness with which bazaar merchants humour our couple. The husband and wife-to-be jump at the opportunity to don local outfits, blending in with their surroundings and laughing along with the locals. We’re rooting for this couple and their life together in marriage. The best years are yet to come!
