As of 1 August 2020, Malaysia’s National Security Council (MKN) has removed the maximum limit of 250 persons for weddings. They have also made it compulsory for event organisers to use the MySejahtera app. Here is the updated Malaysia Wedding SOP by MKN.

Here’s how you can create a scannable QR code for your wedding:

Step 1
Visit the MySejahtera website.

Step 2
Scroll down to ‘MySejahtera Check-In’. Click on ‘Register MySejahtera Check-In’.

Step 3
Register your mobile phone number and wait for the OTP.

Step 4
Key in the OTP.

Step 5
Key in the details for your QR code.

In the Business Name section, you may key in your event name, e.g. “Eve and Adam’s Wedding Ceremony” or “Eve and Adam’s Wedding Reception”.

In the Address section, fill in the address of your event venue, where your QR code will be used.

Step 6
Download the QR code and print.

Your QR code is now live, and you have the option of printing, downloading and/or emailing it to yourself.

If there are any changes to your event, you will have to login to the MySejahtera app using the registered mobile phone number to edit the QR code.
