We stumbled upon a bride who hand-stamped and made her own fabric favour bags. We’ve always wondered what people do with those stamps we see at craft shops, and this solves the mystery. It looks so simple and doable that we thought some of you might want to attempt this. It’s not easy to find the right wedding favours, and sometimes it’s even harder to find the right bag or box to fit them in. Try this; it will instantly transform your favour into something guests will not leave behind.

Step 1

Cut and fold the fabric to the desired size, then stamp the bag. We used recycled heavyweight chipboard that’s almost as thick as the stamp to help us gauge the centre for a consistent look. Make sure you apply enough pressure and press evenly.

Step 2

Leave it to dry. Once you are happy with it, sew up the side and trim the top with pinking shears, leaving a zigzag edge. It will look great and prevent the bag from unraveling or fraying.

Step 3

Tie it with coloured twine that matches the stamp colour. Feel free to add paper tags for an even more personalised touch.
