Jessica Hische is a highly sought after letterer and illustrator whose work has graced magazines and book covers, while Russell Maschmeyer is a designer at Facebook. Their wedding website is a wedding invitation that also doubles as a timeline of their journey together, from the day they first met right up to their big day.

This parallax effect, which was created using CSS3 and HTML5, is the perfect storytelling format, as clicking from page to page could momentarily disrupt the narrative. It’s a pretty long series of events, but the great illustrations and interesting story definitely keeps you going.

Jess and Russ celebrated their wedding in two cities – they had an intimate ceremony followed by a picnic at Dolores Park in San Francisco, where they currently reside; and a week later, held a reception in Brooklyn, where they’d met and built their first home together, with close family and friends.
