What a joy to have our first project of the year at the beautiful and contemporary Junior Ballroom of the Le Méridien Putrajaya! It was great getting to style a different space, even though we still haven’t quite moved on from that gorgeous styled shoot we did at their pool area last year.
Thank you, Jason of MJK Photography, for capturing it all in photos.
Greenery is still very much in vogue, but The Wedding Notebook creative team decided they wanted to explore it further by introducing darker foliage for a moodier feel. We even added black roses, balancing it with a blend of soft lilac grey and dusty pink blooms. Our personal favourite, anemones, provided the perfect touch.
Mustering our DIY skills, we painted the insides of acrylic bottles different shades of lilac grey, while the Elisa Flower team toiled late into the night to bring our moodboard to life. The sensual colour palette, candles, gold props and ballroom interior all came together to create a dreamy atmosphere, and it definitely turned out more romantic than we had imagined!
Last but not least, the food was more than great and all in all, we could ask for no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
