Of course you’ll enjoy the sunsets, splurge on romantic dinners on the rim of the caldera, go on hikes and marvel at the magnificent views. But there’s more to Santorini than all of that, and we’ve got just the list to make your trip complete.

7 THINGS TO DO IN SANTORINI

1. Hire quads to get around the island
There’s nothing quite like cruising along winding ocean roads with the wind in your hair and your loved one by your side. A favourite route is the journey from Fira to Oia, and it’s definitely the best way to get around on the island.

2. Enjoy the open-air cinema at Santorini Cine Kamarí
Savour cocktails and food in a relaxed atmosphere while you watch a movie or listen to a jazz performance. Do note that the cinema is only open from June until the first few days of October. For more info, visit www.cinekamari.gr.

3. Spend some time at the Red Beach in Akrotiri
Of all the beaches on the island, this is quite possibly the one most worth visiting. Well known for its red sand and picturesque red lava cliff in the background, Red Beach is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

4. Experience an outdoor massage
The sunset massages at Caldera Massages Studio in Oia are simply to die for! We are not sure if you will ever experience a more gorgeous open-air massage anywhere else in the world.

5. Cliff jumping at Amoudi Bay or Kamara Beach
The little cliffs around the bay make it an ideal spot for diving. And if you are an adrenaline junkie, we dare you to leap off the six-metre-high islet.

6. Buy a book at Atlantis Books
Forgot to bring a book? Fret not. Walk into Atlantis Books and you’ll be stunned by the sheer amount of books in there. Buy a secondhand novel and maybe you’ll discover a love note written by its previous owner. Or buy a hand-sewn book for a little piece of Atlantis and Greece to take home.

7. Spend at least an entire day in one of these luxury resorts
When you are in Santorini, the only thing on your mind should be relaxation. Put your watch away, take a dip (or three!) in the pool, and nap the day away.
