Who would have thought that less than two hours out of Kuala Lumpur lies a destination beach wedding venue with private pools and floating villas? Thanks to their friendly hospitality team, the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson is a convenient and very pretty choice, as this colourful styled shoot by The Wedding Notebook proved. Shot exclusively for us by Joshua of Inlight Photos, the shoot also featured flowers that were arranged by Floral D’mora.
Darker colours work better for outdoor celebrations, as the sunlight might be too harsh for the photographer to fully capture blush and pastel colours. For this shoot, bright wildflowers were sourced for the ceremony setup, and these were later reused for the long reception table.
It wasn’t easy sourcing such a wide variety of wildflowers, so what if we told you that more than half of the flowers used here were actually faux wildflowers? Not only did they look realistic, there was also no risk of the flowers wilting in the tropical heat.
Keeping with the theme of bright colours, all the details including the signage, menu placards and even the desserts and cocktail drinks came in vibrant shades. Providing easy access by car, the Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson is accessible without you having to compromise on your beach wedding dreams. Want to take it up a notch? Rent a boat or hire a helicopter for a dramatic entrance!
