Designer Eric Choong’s ‘Swan Lake’-inspired collection exudes beauty, elegance and timelessness. Silk chiffon was chosen as the dominant fabric for this collection as he wanted a flowing fabric to convey the softness and fluidity of the movements in ballet. Simple, classic silhouettes for the gowns were each made unique with textures like layers, ruffles and flounces, as well as the use of additional fabrics such as organza and tulle, inspired by a ballerina’s tutu. Eric also twisted and shaped pieces of organza into organic shapes to further give the illusion of flow and movement. To add a touch of opulence to this collection, each piece was embellished with Swarovski elements.
