“As we drove towards The Estate, we realized that the venue is located uphill. A few seconds after, we were greeted by the White House and I knew it, this is it. This is our venue,” Aisha gleefully shared her excitement recalling their first visit to the recently launched wedding space in Kuala Lumpur that fantastically fulfilled their needs for their ideal wedding setup. Nestled atop a hill, the classical style building in pristine white and its spacious grasslands overlooking the breath-taking view of Kuala Lumpur city skyline did a wonderful job accommodating Ash and Aisha’s guest list of 80 guests for Nikah ceremony in the morning, and 300 people for their reception dinner at night.

Ash and Aisha introduced themselves as a pair of nature enthusiasts, and their appreciation for the outdoors made them envision their wedding to be in a setting where they will be gathering everyone with them for a celebration in nature. Their search for an outdoor wedding venue made them realize that getting guests to some of the places might require them to travel a little outside of Kuala Lumpur. When they found out about The Estate, they felt like it is a perfect combination of natural beauty and urban convenience. The location’s serene setting and proximity to the city were just what they were looking for.

“On top of that, choosing Munstara Events as our wedding decorator perhaps was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding,” Aisha continued, expressing her gratitude towards the wedding decorator for successfully enhancing the beauty of The Estate with the theme they requested. For the dais or the main stage of the event, the team created a stunning adaptation of the Sun-Gate structure from the film Midsommar, and they incorporated some Spanish-and-Italian-summer-feels through the use of terracotta hues and some wooden and rattan elements to create a contrasting effect against the venue’s white structure and green lawn.

Upon sharing their love stories and how they continued to bond strongly after first connecting 10 years ago, they described their mutual love towards a specific genre of music, and how they incorporated this into their wedding reception night. Ash, who has never played any musical instruments in front of Aisha, gifted her a surprise performance that night, and the couple later serenaded their guests together with some melodious pieces, before having their friends turn the grass lawn of The Estate into a dance floor.

For Ash and Aisha, their wedding day was a surreal experience, a culmination of a decade-long journey of love witnessed by all who were gathered to celebrate their union. “It felt like everything happened so fast,” Ash reminisced. “The best thing that happened that day was ‘the dance’ that we had. The dance that we had that night after everyone else had left the venue, and as the staff began clearing the spaces, stacking chairs, dismantling the flower arrangements, all in the chaos and silence of a concluded event at once. We took a step back, watched the whole space once more, and of course our photographer Jane, knowing this could be a perfect moment of stillness and silence to capture; she suggested we take a slow dance”. As they embraced each other in their slow dance, Ash and Aisha shed their tears of joy, and allowed themselves to just look into how far they’ve come, wrapping the night with gratitude and heart filled with contentment.
