It’s undeniable that nature always makes the perfect backdrop, and for this couple, it was the elegant woods, ivy-coloured walls and expansive vineyards of Healesville in Victoria. They chose to keep the colour palette simple in different hues of pink, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the pink roses and the décor. Many thanks to Dennis Yap Photography for this gorgeous set of photos.
Daphne: “Walking down the aisle was definitely on top of the list of memorable moments, but our first dance and speech were also pretty memorable. I forgot the dance routine mid-dance and also lost my notes mid-speech! But Tony reassured me that everything was going to be all right.
“We wanted a theme that combined elegance and sophistication alongside the natural backdrop. Our wedding colours were shades of pink with splashes of gold, grey and blue –blue was picked for our ‘something blue’ and touches of gold were added to give the night an auspicious vibe.
“As much as our wedding was a special day for us, we wanted our guests to have a good time too, so we made it a point to include some sort of interactive entertainment with the flip book booth and a craft area for the kids. We also DIY-ed some ‘glitter snow globes’ attached to confetti filled balloons as favours for the kids.”
Tips from the bride: “Work together with your husband-to-be and try to set a budget for the wedding. It helps you to stay focused and have a clear vision (of what you want). It’s easy to be overwhelmed with all the beautiful ideas and pictures on social media.”
