What is it about the past that makes it so fascinating and romantic? Held in an old world French chateau, this wedding was a fairytale in every way, from the prestige classic cars to the elaborate couture gowns and the impressive floral arrangements. We couldn’t believe this was actually in Victoria, Australia. Every detail of this wedding put together by Ruffles and Bells was beautifully captured, and on analogue film too. Much credit to Lilli Kad Photography for these exceptional photos!
Eliska Lam of Ruffles and Bells: “Australia is known for its beaches, vast landscapes and modern architecture. When you think of a chateau wedding, France is the first thought that comes to mind. Well, it turns out there is a chateau in Australia that situates French architecture amidst our Australian landscape. Winston and Ellen had contemplated getting married at Lake Como but the proximity and travel logistics for their family made them opt for Australia instead. They fell in love with Campbell Point House on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road as it has that European charm and grandeur they were after.
“They had a two-day celebration, with both the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding being styled by Ruffles and Bells. The dreamy floral designs in the grand reception hall took one’s breath away! You can definitely see Winston’s love for old world charm, and only analogue film photography was ever going to be an option for him, therefore he hired us to capture their wedding on film.”
