We can’t help it – this wedding just puts a smile on our faces! There is something so friendly and bright about sunflowers, and we love how they perfectly complemented the navy blue shades. How about that bright blue dress that the mother of the bride wore? Ada: “We had so much fun on our wedding day that every moment was memorable, from the bridal march-in to ‘La Vie En Rose’ by Daniela Andrade and our wedding vows, to the bouquet toss to our sporting male friends (of course, we also had some runaways) and our Kombi ride. Our dinner reception was filled with dance, laughter, tears and cheers.
“If we had to choose one moment, it would be our mothers’ combo roast (speeches) where they shared an excruciatingly detailed picture of our childhood and the people we have become. Everyone was keeling over in laughter because who doesn’t love a little dirt on the bride and groom?
“We had a garden wedding followed by a dinner reception at Tanarimba, Janda Baik. It was a bright and fun celebration, carefully planned for us to enjoy with our family and friends! We went with navy blue and bright yellow for our wedding theme colours, with most of the décor put together on our own. Other DIY items were our wedding invites, favours and the programme book, which were all made possible and done online. Our curated swing jazz songs were a major factor in creating the right ambience all evening.”
Tips from the bride: “Getting married and planning a wedding has definitely got to be one of the most precious milestones we’ve had thus far. We had a rough idea of how we wanted our wedding to be, and searched the web to get a visual feel for it. My tip would be to decide on a theme for your wedding and work from there. Communicating and conveying your ideas clearly to your vendors will help to take a whole load off your mind. Many of our vendors went above and beyond to surprise us with their sincerity and creativity. Having a dependable bridal team, coordinators, friends and family is a must and a blessing. Most importantly, don’t fret the small stuff and have a good time!”
