A Classic Blue Simple and Fun Wedding Ceremony at CHIJMES Singapore
This is a beautiful story of two good friends who fell in love while serving as musicians on the worship team at their church. They got to know each other better through their shared experiences on mission outreach trips, and the rest, as they say, is history. Thank you for these amazing captures, Bitesize Visuals!
The groom’s most cherished moment from their wedding day was seeing his gorgeous bride dressed in her gown and breaking into a radiant smile. We loved listening to him speak so tenderly about the little things because it said everything about the couple’s anticipation of a lifetime together in marriage.
The bride also shared: “The vows brought tears to Michael’s eyes. For a man who isn’t overly expressive, that was truly meaningful for me. The time I spent with mum on the day was really precious, too. Her approval and joy brought peace to my heart.”
The newlyweds’ bridal shoot was done at Fort Canning Park for its special significance to them. They were there at the start of their relationship and also when Michael proposed, so it made sense that they would be photographed there when they got married. The wedding ceremony and reception, meanwhile, were held at CHIJMES.
Having decided on a toned-down botanical ambience, the couple eschewed brightly coloured flowers for a fuss-free look. They chose CHIJMES because it had the right seating capacity for their needs, and also because they wanted the church service to be the highlight of their wedding day.
“The hall was previously a chapel, and it felt like the right place for our wedding because we wanted the emphasis to be on God, who is at the centre of our marriage,” they said. The support the couple received from their friends and family was beautiful to see, because isn’t marriage about building on the couple’s relationship and sharing their life with loved ones and friends?
Tips from the bride: “Try not to stress and enjoy the special day instead.”
