Following a romantic proposal that featured candles and rose petals, it only made sense that this bride and groom would bring that aesthetic to their wedding reception. With florals as the central theme, this wedding was tastefully elegant and romantic. Keeping things classic, the reception was all about breathtaking grandeur, with opulent chandeliers and hanging crystals, blush pink flowers and decorative vases. For their ceremony, the couple exchanged vows under a stunning floral arch with white flowers and lush greens. Many thanks to Feztography for this beautiful set of photos.
Melissa: “Initially, while browsing Pinterest, we fell in love with pictures of weddings featuring beautiful classic colours and with lots of crystals and chandeliers. We agreed to not incorporate too many bright colours as we felt that it could be too distracting and take away from the beautiful moment. In the end, we stuck to all white flowers with a touch of green for our holy matrimony that was held at the Satoo Garden in Shangri-La Hotel. For the reception at the Grand Ballroom in Shangri-La Hotel, our theme was romantic elegance with lots of whites and blush pink plus touches of gold and lots of crystals. We even had a small DIY project where Edmund handwrote the sign for our ring bearer to carry: ‘Uncle Edmund, here comes your bride’.”
Tips from the bride: “We believe that every wedding should reflect the couple and their taste. I encourage couples to create their own rules. For instance, we love intimate weddings. Therefore, instead of having a party with lots of guests, we opted for a sit down dinner reception with fewer guests. After all, the wedding should be a celebration of your love, not about your dress or decorations.”
