The sweetest part of this wedding was how much the newlyweds included the guests into their special day. From keeping it intimate and personalising agate slices to illustrating the guests for the guestbook, the couple ensured that their wedding day meant just as much to their loved ones as it did to them.

We love the massive grazing table that was put together by the couple’s friends, and the entire day was clearly filled with so much love and warmth. Also, how beautiful are the deep green eucalyptus leaves and ferns, set against the burnt orange and blush pink tones! Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for capturing this beautiful wedding.

Genevieve: “The most memorable moments were from the holy matrimony. We had a very small and intimate wedding, which also meant that all of our guests were close family and friends whom we wanted present to witness our union. The feeling was very surreal, and it was a mix of so many emotions.

“We didn’t have a specific concept but wanted it to be a fall-themed wedding (fall is our favourite season) with forest vibes. It had to be classy yet chill, with elements that can mostly be found in nature. We worked with our decorators and florist, The Flower Library, to achieve a balance so that the venue did not look too empty and white, nor overly decorated.

“We chose a place with large windows so our guests wouldn’t feel like they were in an enclosed space. For the cocktail reception area, we wanted something different, so our friends set up a grazing table with figs, breadsticks, cheeses, fruits and more.

“In terms of decorations, I got a customised guestbook from The Mustard Seed with all my guests already illustrated so that they could fill in the colours of their outfits. We also thought it would be interesting to have our parents’ wedding photos beside ours! We wanted our guests to have something special, so we got The Mustard Seed to personalise agate slices with our guests’ names, and they doubled as place cards. Everyone loved them.”

Tips from the bride: “The best advice is to forget everything that may not be happening, and really soak up the moments.”
