The brick wall aesthetic is always a rustic touch. Pair it with bright pops of yellow, orange and blush pink, and you get a vibrant wedding celebration filled with joyful vibes. We love that the colour palette was “lemonade citrus”, with actual lemons as part of the décor. Keeping it intimate and small, the bride and groom exchanged their vows in front of just 50 guests, against a gilded hexagonal arch as their backdrop. Thanks to Louis Gan Photography for capturing this sweet set of photos!

Rachael: “The most memorable for us was having the presence of our close family and friends from overseas on our big day (just before Covid-19 case numbers spiked in Malaysia). The good thing about a small and intimate wedding is we got to spend more time with every guest!

“I love things that are rustic, and I particularly like brick walls. We were so lucky to have found this place! We loved the rustic loft with brick walls the moment we saw it for the first time. Our theme was lemonade citrus with fun pops of bright yellow, orange and blush pink because vibrant colours make us happy.”

Tips from the bride: “Start planning early and be realistic when setting your wedding budget. Put together a wedding planning schedule and do tasks in a logical order so you don’t take on too much too fast. Enjoy the day and be in the moment, otherwise it will go by in a flash without you fully experiencing it. Don’t sweat the small stuff because things never go exactly the way you envisioned. As long as it’s not a complete disaster, just go with the flow! Also, it’s going to be a long day, so make sure you fill your stomach with food or snacks.”
