From gilded candlesticks and chairs to feathers, beads and all that jazz, Mellissa and Kristian’s wedding celebration certainly paid homage to the glam era of Old Hollywood. The mixture of long and round tables, giant balloon wall, and that dazzling black and gold backdrop with the newlyweds’ initials all helped to create a truly glamorous affair. Mellissa: “It was awesome being able to share it with our friends and family, as we could only invite a limited number of people for our actual ROM last year. I have to say we had one of the best after parties ever, complete with free flow booze, a rocking DJ and a ‘nasi lemak’ buffet!
“We decided to do something different so we went with an Old Hollywood, ‘Casablanca’ theme. We also chose this theme because for our first Valentine’s Day, we went to watch a screening of Casablanca with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra playing the music live.”
