A Glamorous Paradise of an Outdoor Wedding at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa
Weddings really are about celebrating with the people who have stood with you through your courtship. When this couple began planning their wedding, they first considered a destination wedding on a tropical island. However, they soon dismissed the idea, knowing that not all of their family and friends would be able to make it. Thanks, MunKeat Photography, for sharing such a gorgeous night with us.
“Having our loved ones with us was far more important than our choice of venue,” said the bride. So they decided to keep their wedding in Kuala Lumpur, as long as it was outdoor and unique. Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa proved to be a wonderful alternative. Its poolside courtyard, lined with tall palms and green foliage, provided the tropical beach resort ambience they desired. It was perfect.
The couple kept the ceremony décor simple with hues of blush, white and green. By night, a new façade of glitz and glam in a classy palette of blush, white and gold replaced the refreshing hues of the day. They executed most of the wedding planning together, from designing the outfits to the wedding favours, making it a point to enjoy every aspect of the planning and watching their ideas blossom into fruition.
“It was the people who made our wedding. As I walked down the aisle with my dad and caught sight of all our friends and family, my heart was absolutely filled with joy –and it showed in every photo! Our bridal party had also flown in from every corner of the world to be with us. Being surrounded by the people we love and exchanging our vows before those who have stood with us through our 11-year journey made it all the more special. We just felt… loved.”
Tips from the bride: “Start planning early, stay organised, and enjoy the process together. As it gets closer to the day, stop stressing over the details. On the day itself, remember to pause at various points throughout to take in the precious moments together. The day comes and goes very quickly, and it is easy for it to go by without your truly appreciating the moment.”
