You can never go wrong with a nature themed wedding, simply because it is always classy and timeless. Also, couples tend to forget that they don’t have to spend extravagant amounts to get their dream wedding. Yan and Hua’s wedding was understated yet so beautiful, and having the perfect venue certainly helped. Because they enjoy nature so much, they decided to have lots of greenery incorporated into their theme, as well as personal touches in the form of DIY elements. A big thank you to Yong Hao Visual Moments for these stunning photos of the lovebirds!

Yan: “It was important that we shared this special day with our loved ones and were able to mingle with every single one of them during the event. The most memorable part of our wedding day was seeing our beloved family and closest friends all present for the celebration.

“Many people have asked us, ‘Why did you choose to feature a pair of white haired silhouettes on your wedding card?’ And we told them that it was a picture of us growing old together. How romantic is that?”

“Hua and I wanted a simple, elegant and intimate dinner reception. When choosing the venue, we decided on Carvery, a restaurant we regularly patronise. We absolutely love the food and the setting is very cosy, and we knew it would be perfect for our big day.

“Both Hua and I love nature and outdoor activities, hence we knew immediately that having lots of lush greenery would be part of our theme. We appointed ZaHuoHang to be our wedding planner. They helped us to handle everything from the wedding stationery and floral arrangements to the event decorations and the pre-wedding and actual day photography.

“We told them that we also wanted the event to have a touch of sophistication and elegance. It was absolutely delightful when ZaHuoHang presented us with the beautiful colour palette made up of green, gold, white and a tinge of champagne pink. On the actual day, they wowed us with their flamboyant foliage and floral arrangements set amongst beautiful gold decorative pieces. I personally will never forget the moment I walked in and saw the décor. It was just breathtaking!

Tips from the bride: “Know exactly what you want, convey that to the experts, and trust them entirely. There’s nothing more important than to be stress free before your big day. Enjoy the moments with the most important people in your life. After all it’s a once in a lifetime experience.”
