Every so often, there will come a bride and groom who were able to infuse unconventional elements into their wedding – sneakers for the bride and a geometric print shirt for the groom, anyone?
As it was a celebration of their two lives coming together, their theme was forest (林) and water (汪) – the meaning of their Chinese surnames. From the wildflowers and the bride’s beautiful blue floral bouquet to the wood and twine decorative elements, their décor was perfect against the venue’s expansive windows and ghost chairs for the solemnisation ceremony.
Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for capturing this lovely and intimate set of wedding photographs.
Celeste: “Our wedding concept was a mix of both our Chinese surnames, which means ‘forest’ and ‘expanse of water’. Since a wedding is a union, we decided to combine both these elements into our wedding theme. Frankly, the day went by really quickly, but as we read our vows in front of our families, time slowed down for a while. That was one moment I’ll never forget!”
Tips from the bride: “Planning a wedding is stressful, so have fun while you’re at it. It doesn’t have to be perfect; nothing is, so just go with the flow and embrace the moment.”
