It’s a known fact that nailing down the venue is the most important part to planning a wedding – and this couldn’t be truer for this bride and groom. We love the gold and blush tones, which definitely added to the romantic feel. The bridesmaids’ mismatched looks in gold were still cohesive, and the entire celebration was simple yet elegant, cosy, and overflowing with so much joy, love and laughter. Many thanks to Cherry May Ward for capturing these photos!

Gayle: “It’s hard to pick one particular memorable moment as there were too many. One of them was during our second entrance, as we were walking in for our first dance. Our favourite song played, and I’d never felt happier! Being surrounded by our close family and best friends during our wedding and having that support made wedding prep so fun and not the least bit stressful.

“Our theme was gold with a touch of blush. I love the way these colours complement each other. We didn’t want to overpower the amazing venue with the theme though, so we had slight accents here and there. As for wedding favours, we wanted to give something our guests would actually cherish, so while brainstorming one day we came up with the idea of printing a photo of us with each guest during different phases of our lives with them, with a handwritten note. I hope they loved it! The venue speaks for itself. The amazing Koh Samui beach backdrop didn’t need any ‘beautifying’ and that’s why we went minimal on the decorations.”

Tips from the bride and groom: “One of the best tips I think I could give was to not sweat the small stuff. We would plan to the best of our capabilities, and for the stuff that was not in our control, we had to just not sweat it and pray! Be organised – we had multiple to-do lists and timetables, etc. And get things ticked off the list as soon as you can! Don’t procrastinate, and remember to work together as a team!”
