Imagine an all-white rustic country wedding with a hint of Scottish influence. Romantic and fun, this is what you get from a beautiful Italian-Scottish match. It’s great when couples include some of their customs in their weddings. Besides remembering their roots, it gives them a story to tell that others cannot imitate.

Deanna: “I love the details of the reception – the fairy lights that draped across the beams, the rustic candy table and the overall styling. It made my heart sing when I saw it. The Scottish dancing was a highlight! It got everyone up and all our Australian guests were having such a blast.

“I handmade quite a few things. I made a large photo board myself that had all the guests’ photos on it with their designated table number. Being a photographer myself, I wanted to do something that represented that bit of me. All the place name cards were made out of burlap and leftover paper from the DIY invitations.

“I also made the large sign that hung at the front of the venue with the directions on it. I stained three large pieces of wood, painted the letters and glued them together. It hung perfectly under the big old wine barrel.”
