We were absolutely floored by this wedding venue! COMO Point Yamu in Phuket, Thailand, could not have been more perfect for this beautiful couple and their guests. She, a mountain lover, and he, a water feature enthusiast, were enthralled by the lovely compound during their recce. Thanks, hellojanelee, for sharing this with us.

Located at the tip of Cape Yamu overlooking the Andaman Sea and Phang Nga Bay, COMO features designer interiors, splendid surroundings, and a cliff side garden with magnificent views of the ocean. It was the very laidback yet lux aesthetic the couple desired.

The bride shared: “We felt a cool breeze just as we began to walk down the aisle. This was after weeks of worrying about the weather being too hot for our elderly guests. It felt like the universe was saying, ‘Hey, it’s all good.’”

To enhance their wedding altar, the couple created an arch of tropical leaves, and also custom-painted sculptures of a zebra and giraffe in white and gold. As for wedding invitations, they opted for customised e-invites for their family and friends who were all over the world. “They were fast, and freed us of hassle and wastage,” explained the bride.

As the sun went down, the party lit up – literally! Friends formed a tunnel of sparklers and hummed to the tune of ‘Here Comes the Bride’ as the newlyweds walked through. Plus, to commemorate the bride’s appreciation compassionate living and the 100% fruit cake her groom cut for her each year for her birthday, the hotel made a 3 tiered cake out of just fruit for the wedding.

Tips from the bride: “Be sure to run a rehearsal for your bridal makeup, even if it means paying extra.”
