An All-White Dreamy Cliff-Top Garden Wedding at Khayangan Estate, Uluwatu
The dreamiest of all dreamy weddings, this all-white classic is a jaw-dropper indeed, with its textures and interesting touches taking the cake. From the bride’s dress and the décor to the elements of blush pink and grey at the reception, it was all too beautiful for words. Swaths of tulle and an abundance of white flowers and stalks of wheat surrounded the newlyweds and their bridal party for the exchange of vows, which they did against a backdrop of crashing waves and serene cliffs. We’re so in love with this wedding – many thanks to Iluminen for this dazzling set of photos!
Franciska: “It was literally the best day of our lives! It was wonderful to see our families and close friends, who had travelled all the way to Uluwatu to celebrate with us. We finally tied the knot after nine years of being together, including the four and a half years we spent in a long distance relationship while I was in LA and Ian was in Sydney.
“Our wedding theme was Dreamy Elegance. We chose Khayangan Estate because we thought it was the perfect venue for our wedding theme. The first time we stepped into Khayangan, we immediately fell in love with it. We were just so in awe of the view, and the size was just perfect for our wedding party. Everyone couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful Khayangan is. For the ceremony, we went all-white because we wanted something classic, timeless and dreamy. For the reception, we did blush pink and grey because pink is my favourite colour, and we used grey to balance it out and give the décor a cooler and more masculine feel.
“We really enjoyed every bit of our wedding – the morning session with my bridesmaids and Ian with his groomsmen, the gate-crashing games, the first look, when I walked down the aisle, our wedding vows, and the precious time with our parents. After that, when we did the grand entrance for the reception, we were so amazed at how beautiful the décor was, plus the ambience and intimate vibes created by our wedding guests. We just couldn’t believe it. We were so grateful.
“We were afraid it was going to be too hot during the ceremony because it was at 3pm, but thank God, it was perfectly sunny and windy at the same time. Our wedding dance during the reception was also unforgettable. We were glad we decided to take a class for our first dance. We really had so much fun; I wish we could turn back time and repeat the whole day again!
