Eucalyptus leaves, chosen for their scent and deep green colour, were the main decorative point for this wedding, and what a beautiful way to tie the décor together! From the cake and the decorations to the bouquets and the invitations, hues of blush pink contrasted beautifully against the rich green shades.
Set against the backdrop of a classic church that was filled with natural light, this wedding was simple yet elegant, nature-focussed yet modern. The couple looked absolutely breathtaking in their attire and every bit in love with each other. Many thanks to Bloc Memoire Photography for this beautiful set of photos!
Daryl: “My favourite moments were (in no particular order) when we exchanged our cards and gifts before we headed off to our ceremony, being veiled by my parents, walking down the aisle and exchanging our vows!
“We wanted our wedding to have an organic and earthy feel, and we also wanted to keep it elegant yet casual. Pink is my favourite colour, so I definitely wanted to incorporate it into our theme, but we kept it mostly in blush hues so it would still remain elegant. I’m also in love with eucalyptus leaves, and made sure they were heavily featured throughout our wedding. The church of St. Ignatius stood out to us as its colours suited our theme; it’s modern, full of natural light and cosy. For our reception, we kept it mostly cocktail style, as we wanted people to be able to mingle.”
Tips from the bride: “My advice is hire a wedding planner if you can afford it. Despite being someone who is very on the ball, I was so stressed out balancing my work with the planning that I did not enjoy the process as much as I thought I would. Don’t worry about being kiasu and just try to check items off your list as soon as you can. I got almost all my inspiration through Pinterest and social media! I followed so many wedding-related accounts on Instagram that I got spammed everyday (no regrets though).”
