An Elegant Oxford Blue And Gold Wedding At The Westin Kuala Lumpur
Keeping things elegant yet modern, this beautiful colour palette of white, blue and gold, complete with touches of sparkle and lace, was a sight to behold. With the ballroom’s high ceilings, long tables flanking the runway, and white cloth draped along the walls, the reception, which was awash in blue light, had a majestic yet modern vibe. Final finishing touches were added in the form of gilded Tiffani chairs, breathtakingly elaborate floral table centrepieces, and sparkly lace tablecloths. And of course not forgetting that amazing floral photo wall, too!
Rachel: “The march into the ballroom was such a memorable moment, having all our loved ones there to celebrate this joyful occasion with us. Being in the wedding industry myself, I had more or less envisioned what I wanted our wedding to be like. Blue has always been a favourite colour of mine; hence the colour palette was white and blue with hints of gold. We wanted our wedding to be glamorous yet modern. We liked the idea of having a mixture of both Chinese and English elements on our big day, which was why the morning ceremony was rich in oriental details.”
Tips from the bride: “Your wedding is definitely a once in a lifetime event, and you won’t get to do it all over again. Therefore do plan well in advance, and if you have the budget, hire a wedding planner so you can enjoy yourself to the fullest on your big day!”
