Could you imagine a more exotic and romantic place to get married in? We’re completely smitten with this celebration, from the bridal party’s outfits to the simply stunning décor. The textures and details of the venue’s architecture, together with the floral elements, added a dreamy touch to the entire soiree. The surroundings were the perfect backdrop to this fairytale wedding, where everyone looked like they had stepped straight off the set of a fashion editorial. Also, don’t forget to check out the newlyweds’ bridal portraits in this other post. Thank you, ProudRad, for these immensely beautiful photos!
Abby: “As I strode out to meet the entourage, just the surreal and crazy idea of holding our wedding at one of the most exotic places in the world hit me. Like, this is actually happening! Not a dream, not a fantasy. It’s real life. My very own fairytale coming true! We actually did it! We’re pulling it off! It was indeed a beautiful day to get married.
“The weekend was a study in contrasts – our pre-wedding dinner featured an exotic, Arabian Nights theme with belly dancers, fire breathers and local performers, while our wedding featured a clean, crisp and immaculate white theme catching the last vestiges of the Mediterranean spring, against one of the most dramatic garden backdrops in the world.
“The Beldi is the premier country club in Marrakech, and no other venue offered the sweeping landscapes and organic versatility that we were going for. We wanted a classy and sophisticated vibe that reflected relaxed European chic, and I think our theme worked impeccably with the surroundings.”
Tips from the bride: “If you’re doing a destination wedding in a foreign country, you have to expect cultural differences in terms of planning and execution. Do your research and try to get as much information as possible because it could be a challenge. What’s important is that you build a rock solid relationship with your planner and an open line of communication so that a productive median can be achieved for the big day.”
