An Intimate Wedding at The Orchid Conservatory, The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur
As we’ve said before, picking a venue with the right setting and ambience can make the whole wedding planning experience so much simpler, not to mention save you lots of time and money! If you’re the type that doesn’t like to stress out over a million little decisions, this is a good strategy to consider. Here’s a wedding that, thanks to its stunning venue, needed hardly any additions to make it picture perfect.
Held in the beautiful, sun-drenched Orchid Conservatory in The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, this small, intimate celebration was absolutely beautiful to behold. With hundreds of lush orchids providing the perfect backdrop, the couple went with a peachy-pink and white colour theme for their wedding invites, wedding cake and floral arrangements.
With their tea ceremony and reception all being held at the same place, we imagine that this also meant everyone could relax and really enjoy meaningful moments together as they celebrated the happy couple’s union. Thanks to Andrew Yep Photographie for giving us this special peek!
Lenny: “This was a very intimate and warm wedding. There were only 16 guests — immediate family and two best friends (who introduced James to me). This allowed us to have ample time to be in the moment with each other, and with our closest family and friends. The most memorable moment was when the doors opened and my father walked me down the aisle on his arm — that was truly one of the most beautiful moments of my life!
“We didn’t have a specific theme, we just went with the flow and chose anything we liked, and that’s it! We had few decorations, and they were mostly all DIY-ed by us. We just wanted to keep everything simple, with a few floral arrangements and some candles. It was all very minimal and very little trouble.”
Tips for brides-to-be: “We went through every page on The Wedding Notebook’s website and were constantly looking at wedding blogs, Instagram and Pinterest for ideas! But remember that the marriage matters more than the wedding, so just relax and enjoy this special time together.”
