Artistic and Creative Bridal Portraits in Kuala Lumpur
Photography is basically playing with light and shadow, lines and framing, and of course, the subject in focus. We love this set of bridal portraits from Twins Photography – every single shot is practically a piece of art. Imagine marking your upcoming union by making art together! Thanks to Twins Photography for this set of photos.
Ronson of Twins Photography: “Zhi Kang is an illustrator and Xe Linn is a fashion designer. When they first approached us, they said they were looking to take some unconventional engagement shoots. They wanted something conceptual yet artistic. We love a couple who comes to us with their own ideas!
“At the first location, Tamarind Square, we started off by shooting them in muted formal attire, with the groom wearing a beige suit and the bride wearing a wedding dress that she had altered by herself! We’d been to Tamarind Square before, but this time, we wanted to focus more on the light and shadows to allow the couple to stand out.
“After that, they changed into a black outfit for the second location, Menara Paragon, in order to provide contrast with the white background. They added a quirky touch with colourful patterned socks. We had fun shooting on different levels of the building, and it showed the building’s unique repetitive lines and patterns.
“For the third location, Hide and Seek, they wanted something classic to match the vintage vibe of the shops, old movie posters and other elements. The bride wore a flower hairband that she had made herself! This couple inspired us to shoot a little differently, and we were happy that they were so willing to experiment and take these creative shots with us.”
