We love how this bride chose to keep her colour palette white and elegant, letting the bold colours of the flowers take centrestage with the décor. Complementing this were the blush pink bridesmaids’ dresses and the natural, lush greenery, which served as the perfect backdrop to the exchange of the wedding vows. Pops of fuchsia and deep red from the flowers and the gilded candlesticks added the right touch of elegance and glamour to the intimate soiree. Many thanks to ZA Gallery for capturing these amazing shots.

Tiffany: “I woke up on our wedding day feeling overwhelmed with happiness and excitement. It felt so surreal after months of planning and anticipation; our day was finally here. My heart was filled with nervousness and bliss as I was counting down to marrying the man of my life. We decided to write each other love letters to be recorded in our videos that night, so that we can watch this and laugh about it years later!

“The most memorable moment of our big day was walking down the aisle. I still remember the rush of happy emotions that took over, washing away any trace of worry when I saw Joseph. He, too, looked nervous and excited as he saw me walk towards him. We were worried about things beyond our control such as the forecasted rain, but we cannot thank God enough for the perfect weather on that day. I even forgot to put my veil on but it didn’t matter anymore. We’re just happy that all our family and friends were able to witness our very special occasion.

“I still remember how we were basking in the moment when we first got engaged on a tiny wooden boat in Halong Bay. It was surreal that we were finally getting married after 12 years of dating, since high school. We chose the smaller ballroom in Hilton KL because it gave us an intimate setting. Most importantly, we wanted all of our guests to feel comfortable, eat good food and have fun. Our style was elegant, minimalist and contemporary. Our colours were shades of pink, cream and green. After following blogs and Instagrams on wedding styles, I wanted the wedding setting to have a lot of white elements and let the bold colours of the flowers shine.

“A really special part of the wedding was my dress, as I had designed it myself and chose my own fabrics. I had the privilege of seeing it being made and visited my dressmaker consistently for six months prior to my wedding. I truly understand how frustrating it can be for a bride to not be able to find “the dress” off the rack. I gave my bridesmaids the freedom to buy their own dresses as long as they were within the colour scheme and theme of the wedding. I also bought happy socks for the groomsmen to add some colour and fun. The pageboy and flowergirl were the cutest when walking down the aisle.”

Tips from the bride: “My advice to other couples is to embrace the unexpected. We had a few hiccups in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding (and even on the wedding day itself). Trust your vendors and get as much advice as possible from friends who have gone through it. Use Instagram, Pinterest and blogs as your inspiration but do not fret if you don’t get what you want in your dream wedding. Remember, at the end of the day, you get to marry your soulmate. Everything else doesn’t matter anymore as nothing should take that away!”
