These portraits were taken to celebrate their five year courtship. The groom proposed to her soon after. We love the way these beautiful photos – shot at Coney Island, Singapore – represent the couple’s five wonderful years of courtship. Tapping into her penchant for enhancing details, the bride, who is also the founder of a flower business, teamed up with the photographer Knotties Frame to create this memorable album. Thank you for these beautiful shots, Knotties Frame!

Keeping the theme simple yet significant, the bride did much of the preparation herself, including her own makeup. Her outfit contrasted beautifully against her pastel bouquet that she arranged herself, and which featured her favourite blooms. Instead of flowers draping over the front, she took a different interpretation and had them drape over the sides. Flowers are an important part of their relationship, as it all started with a rose pinned to her door at their university hostel when she was in Sydney as part of a student exchange program.

To commemorate another significant memory, the couple donned “Minnie and Mickey Mouse” headbands, tipping their hats to their initial long distance relationship of 1.5 years. It was a season of travelling thousands of miles every few months to meet each other before the groom finally returned to Singapore. Their shared sense of adventure and desire to live fully comes through in these images that will surely be enjoyed for decades to come.
