Destination Wedding At Tongsai Bay Resort, Koh Samui
The reason we simply love destination weddings is that they set a totally different tone from regular wedding celebrations. For instance, History Studio sent us this wedding where the girls started the day with a private yoga session and made sure they got in some last-minute sun tanning.
Karin: “Both my husband and I love the ocean and being by the beach. In fact, our first trip together was to Koh Samui, hence we wanted to have our wedding celebration there. We left it up to the resort to bring everything together.
“We personalised the details as much as we could. We had a light colour scheme with an exceptional splash of colour for the flowergirls and ring bearer. We bought mini champagne bottles online that were actually bubble makers, which we left on the dining table for the kids. We also made little welcome packs that we placed in all our guests’ bedrooms before they arrived, which included sunscreen, aloe vera and a water spray.”
Tips from the bride: “Always eat before you start getting ready because that will be the last time you eat before the day ends. Use waterproof and smudge-proof mascara because it is hard to contain your tears. Wear comfortable shoes since no one really sees them, so be comfortable and enjoy your day.”
