We love how, when Suzi shared with us the special moments from her wedding, we are reminded that oftentimes it is the things you don’t plan that actually turn out more meaningful. So take a deep breath, sit back and enjoy your wedding day, because it’s really supposed to be that simple! Thanks, Jane from hellojanelee, for sending over the story of this lovely couple.

Suzi: “We loved our quiet moment together with some McDonalds before getting dressed for the ceremony. The mist came in at the right time, and that provided the ceremony with an even more dreamy and romantic vibe. TJ decided to improvise our wedding vows on the spot and that was definitely unforgettable.

“We didn’t rehearse our first dance; TJ took me by the hand and we just started having a good time, like how we usually would on a night out. We are thankful for all the help from our friends, as well as all the love, laughter and dancing after the ceremony.

“The décor was rustic themed with an overall concept of dusty spring. We wanted our wedding to be smart casual with an intimate and easy vibe. We chose that venue because the overall environment pretty much described us. We loved the natural surroundings and the interior of Tanarimba with its log columns and high ceilings. It felt like the snapshots that we’d been pinning and researching could actually come true. We decided not to use too many flowers in order to keep within our budget; our dream flowers were too expensive! We made the wedding favours ourselves by roasting and packing the trail mix into mason jars.”

Tips from the bride: “Getting a breather is so important on the actual wedding day, and my make-up artist,
Ming, reminded me to take a quick nap or bath to have some alone time and relax, which absolutely helped. Because of that, my female hormones reminded me that the wedding was truly to celebrate love on the grand scheme of things.”
