We all love the idea of an outdoor wedding, but there is so much to worry and stress about, not the least of which being the weather. Luckily, this couple decided to spare themselves all that worry. Thanks to Jenny Sun for this set of photos, and Mint Events & Soirees for putting together yet another fabulous celebration.

Jacqueline: “Even though we had a civil wedding in Melbourne two years prior, walking down that aisle with my dad on this day and seeing my husband waiting for me at the end still felt so surreal. Once our eyes met, we were reminded of all our shared firsts. It just reaffirmed for me that our long distance relationship (we spent five of our nine years together apart when Alwyn was in Melbourne and I in Malaysia) had been worth it. Choosing specific memorable moments is hard because every bit of the wedding was a building block to great memories that will forever be treasured dearly in our hearts.

“Although we had an amazing wedding planner, I was still very involved in the process because I had a clear vision of what I wanted and which vendors to engage. Adeline from Mint Events & Soirees helped to put my ideas together and bring them to life. She ironed out wrinkles and provided alternatives when things didn’t work out. I would say that if hiring a wedding planner is not possible, at least get a wedding coordinator. That will give you a chance to enjoy yourself on your big day!”

Tips from the bride:
#01 Plan ahead.
#02 Do your research.
#03 Know what you want.
#04 Be open to suggestions.
