Here we go again, talking about how typography can really change your whole wedding day style. Both Tiffany and Mark are designers, and Mark is actually a typographer too.

We’ve lost count of how many designers’ weddings we have featured. Their refusal to conform to the norm always catches our eye when we see one of their weddings. There’s always a strong message and concept that carries through, and it’s such a joy to see them share their creativity with their loved ones.

This couple wed on 09.10.11 in Palm Springs, thus the iconic logotype “Nine.Ten.Eleven.” They rented the entire Movie Colony Hotel in Palm Springs, and used it as a blank canvas for their art. You can see it doesn’t look dated at all because good designs last for some time. The simple, clean typography also definitely helped. Mike Arick Photography did an awesome job of capturing all the details.

Mark: “Nine.Ten.Eleven., as we referred to it, became the general theme for the event. The location choice – Palm Springs, CA – gave us inspiration for our bright yellow colour palette and the wedding title, ‘A Celebration in the Desert’.

“We are both graphic designers so we created a bunch of fun stuff to go along with the ceremony and reception. A few of the things we created were waterjet-cut invitations, custom screen-printed placemats, and balloons that were made for our photobooth.”
