We love how meaningful this wedding at The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort is, especially the way these newlyweds filled the important roles with those closest to them. Everything was so well organised that all the couple had to do was take in every moment of their big day. Thank you Willow Events for sending this over and Adam Ong Photography for capturing these beautiful memories!
The bride shared: “I honestly couldn’t put my finger on a specific moment that stood out as my favourite that day. If I had to choose, it would be dancing with my dad, followed by our first dance.”
The couple wanted a destination wedding within Malaysia, where their guests could spend the weekend together away from the city but without travelling too far. They looked at venues in the highlands where they could have an outdoor ceremony without it being too hot and humid, but worried about the unpredictable weather. To their delight, they found the glasshouse at The Chateau, which was perfect for what they wanted.
Since the groom had no colour preference, they went with the bride’s favourite – warm shades of yellow. Less was certainly more in this case, with the pampas grass providing just the right touch. Guests received personalised keychains, and we especially love the flowers in the acrylic box for the guests’ names.
Making the day all the more special, the bride’s cousins acted as the celebrant and emcee respectively, a close friend illustrated the invitations and backdrop, which was based on the couple’s bridal portraits, and more cousins put together a surprise number to get everyone excited for the after party.
Tips from the bride: Pinterest is your best friend! Engage a great planner (optional) and wedding coordinator (so important)!
