Complete with a princess gown, this was the fairytale wedding that many brides dream of. We love how it wasn’t too cluttered and very tastefully done. The white and soft pink shades plus gold Chiavari chairs mean just one thing: glamour, which we can never get enough of. Thanks, Axioo, for giving us something to swoon over all day long.
Nicka: “There were a couple of memorable moments for us. I asked David what his most memorable moments were and they are exactly the same as mine. It was when David looked at me for the first time in my dress at the church gate and he started to tear up. He told me I looked beautiful. And when we recited our vows, both of us cried and this made everyone cry. It surprised me because David is not the type of person who cries at things like this. It tells me that our day was extra special for both him and me.
“I feel that a wedding concept shows your personality as a couple, so if you must choose, choose wisely but don’t let it box you up. There wasn’t any concept behind our wedding theme because I didn’t like the idea of having a specific concept to stick to. I decided to choose a colour theme instead, which was cream, soft pink and gold. From there, I matched the small details to these colours.”
Tips from the bride: “Lots and lots of research. I spent hours going through Pinterest, pinning everything I love (which was a lot), from my favourite headpieces to decoration ideas. Then I did an elimination process to determine what I really loved from the rest. Make sure you are very specific to your vendors, letting them know what you want, because sometimes they can misinterpret your ideas. You don’t have to be a bridezilla, but do let them truly understand what would make your wedding day a dream come true.”
