The town of Lijiang feels like a movie set. Its rich culture and gorgeous architecture were carefully captured by Andrew Yep Photographie in these photos. We especially love Yvonne’s blue and white modern cheongsam – it looks great against the wooden exteriors.
Andrew Yep: “The beautiful old town of Lijiang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has retained its historic cobblestone streets, canals and market squares from a thousand years ago. Just outside the old town, you’ll also find picturesque snowy mountains and stunning lakes.
“The bride, Yvonne, is a former air stewardess and has travelled to quite a few places around the world. She took a liking to this beautiful old town, and decided to have her bridal portraits taken here when she got married.
“For their theme, the couple decided to go oriental. Hence all her gowns and his suits have traditional Chinese elements, which went well with the shoot location.”
