The couple had a tonne of ideas for their wedding, but they scoured Pinterest to find images that they liked – flowers, attire, stationery and more – before settling on a concept. They wanted a wedding that was dramatic and loud with a good dose of fun, quirkiness and sophistication, and initially thought about having a “moody romance” theme, but couldn’t quite put their finger on it until they met Larry from Hello From Flour, a bespoke styling and dessert provider in Singapore. He finalised their concept into what he named “All You Need Is Love… and a Neon Sign!”

This concept served as a guide for the couple as they set out to create the experience for their guests. The wedding was a great way for them to express themselves, and they wanted to make sure that their fingerprints were all over it.

We love the way this awesome couple worked together and with their vendors! Thanks for this brilliant album, Bloc Memoire Photography.

The bride shared: “The day went by in a flash, but the most memorable moments happened at dinner – the energy from our first walk-in as a married couple kept us buzzing throughout the night, the speeches from our best man and maid of honour, one of our guests catching the cork when we popped the champagne, revealing our most embarrassing secrets during a game of Kahoot, doing an impromptu dance, and our thank-you speech. It’s a long list! As clichéd as it sounds, the most important thing was having our loved ones and friends celebrating with us.

“We got friends to sing (instead of getting a professional band), played a game of Kahoot (better response than expected), and showed a PowerPoint with photos of family and friends to accompany our speeches (it was a nice break from having to look at us all night, plus it was amazing to see their reactions when they came on-screen). We even DIY-ed our wedding favours, which was a hangover recovery kit with mints, plasters, tea bags, etc., as we didn’t want our guests to take home a gift that they might never use. Though it was a lot of work, it was good fun! Well, at the very least our guests looked happy.”

Tips from the bride: “Pinterest, Pinterest and Instagram! These platforms provided the best source of inspiration. They gave me great ideas on what to do while also helping me to identify things to avoid. The best thing was that you could mix and match the ideas you liked from different weddings to create a wedding that you could own.

“Most importantly, find a pool of vendors whom you can connect with and trust to deliver on the big day. Lean on them as they are an amazing sounding board for ideas, inspiration, and also validation when the going gets tough! We are forever grateful to have worked with Guanhui from Bloc Memoire Photography, Ebenezer from Ppairscollective, and Larry from Hello from Flour – folks whom we now call friends!”
