What a pretty confluence of the couple’s interests and influences! This British-Indian inspired wedding theme, set against the autumn palette of forest green, marsala, gold, beige and dusty blue, culminated in a setting that gave the guests a marvelous evening, as intended. Many thanks to Nigel Lim for capturing this set of photos.

Sarah, the bride, shared her most memorable moments: “Walking down the aisle and seeing all my favourite people who had made it for this special day, my husband Jason’s raw and sincere vows, walking back up the aisle with Jason to Coldplay’s ‘Something Just Like This’ because the lyrics are so meaningful for us, and then all the dancing and partying after.”

Jason shared: “It was remarkable watching my beautiful bride walk down the aisle in her beautiful lengha, and the surprisingly perfect weather we had – blue skies, cool breeze, brilliant sunset, full moon and twinkling stars.”

Tips from the bride: “If you’re on a serious budget like we were, learn to prioritise so that you can make the most out of your savings. We didn’t spend on door gifts, a bridal car, wedding cake or printed cards. But we chose to spend on the venue since it was the most important to us.

“Planning ahead and getting a good team of trusted friends involved really helps you to enjoy the day. Be sure to manage the team’s expectations, delegate wisely, and always, always appreciate them before and after. And lastly, if you have a good time, you’ll be sure that the day will be filled with great memories for all including yourself! It might be your big day, but the truth is you have a lifetime to celebrate love with your partner so give your guests a day to remember.”
